Guys I have painted up my first 4 Norman knights. Pleased with the paint jobs even though my modelling skills are not so great. See what you think.

Thanks Allen,

I can't see the changes you made so not sure what i did wrong, i am guessing it was not much? I just copied the BB code from flickr, it works on a couple of forums i posted them to?

These were my first 28mm Conquest Games Norman Knights, my friends and i have decided to have a go at Saga when it is published and i got the Normans.

I am not a very good modeller, but pretty good at painting, I learnt from some mistakes on these 4, painting up the next 7 now, hopefully they will be even better :)

Can't recommend Conquest Games highly enough, awesome quality, great price, sadly a very tiny range yet, but they are bringing out their norman infantry in the autumn…

Andy, you just want the URLs ending in .img. It looks like you were grabbing too much from the flickr page. I just upsized each one to the Large version, right-clicked on the image for Properties, grabbed the URL and pasted it.

I didn't like the looks of these in the raw plastic when they were introduced. You're changing my mind!

CK do you have cats?

jowady23 Jul 2011 10:33 p.m. PST

Like them a lot. You could though paint the horses eyes, just black or a very dark brown would do the trick.

Very nice, I'm looking to grab some of these in the near future. Thanks for sharing.

I can't really fault conquest games models.

I need some infantry and was going to buy crusader miniatures which I believe are very good but I intend to wait a couple ofmonths now for the conquest plastics to come out

They scrub up pretty nice and are great value. Thanks for sharing (and Allen for helping).

Good Job I like the shields. If I was to offer one suggestion it would be to put socks on the horses legs and maybe spots on there heads down to their noses. It just helps to break the horses up and make them look a little less mono tone. Here's a couple of examples

Eyes are done. Will do patches and socks. :)

CptKremmen24 Jul 2011 1:45 p.m. PST

I have redone the models a little, added socks, eyes and white head patches. Also tweaked the colour a little.
I have messed about with everything i can think of and i can't work out the html, sorry :(

I don't think the if will be out for several months, but i hope to post a pic of the next 7 knights this weekend. I have done the horses and they look good, now the riders…

CptKremmen27 Jul 2011 3:35 a.m. PST

Pics of 11 Knights. I will not post anymore until the infantry arrive, though I do have another 15 or so to paint.

Glad you like them, must say i think they are easily the best figures i have ever painted. It helps that they are such nice models to start with :)

Nick The Lemming07 Sep 2011 8:07 p.m. PST

I just got my Conquest Normans today, and they really are great figures. Very crisp and clear, loads of detail, look like they'll paint up a storm. Highly recommended!
