I have taken the liberty of attaching the recent newsletter covering the situation at Hougoumont and the work being undertaken by all of us to save Hougoumont farm. This will be updated with another newsletters in a few days. Please take a few moments to read the contents and if possible to support Project Hougoumont:

The news about the chapel cross is terrible. Having survived the battle and remained unlooted during two subsequent world wars some scumbags have now nicked it. This isn't just theft, its historical vandalism.

Dear TMPers,

Please find attached the July newsletter from Project Hougoumont, which features a fascinating article by Carole Divall, about Arthur Gore's account of the battle of Waterloo: PDF link

Naturally, the links on the PDF file do not work, but more information on Project Hougoumont can be found at: 1815.ltd.uk
