The Welsh Broadcasting Company announced today the official location of the Provisional Government for the Republic of Wales. link As long as you're there, vote in the poll if you haven't already. |

I take it you only have sheep fighting for then
. What about the miners and steel workers in the south – hardly monachist or Fascist are we??? Just because we are not nationalist, does that make us less Welsh! I vote for a Socialist Free Wales and its capital to be Maerdy in Rhondda – forwards the peoples army, keep the red flag flying, None shall Pass

Richard: You see, that could be another faction. Or, perhaps, they are allied with the Welsh Nationalists, against the monarchist opressors, and biding their time to make it the Democratic People's Republic of Wales. Liking this. Shades of Mao Tse Tung and Chiang Kai Shek, both working to overthrow the Japanese, but hating each other. Oh goodie! Now I have an excuse to bring in Soviet gear! T-26, PPsH, et al. Yes, I know the PPsH wasn't around in 1938 yet. But I don't recall its predecessor off the top of my head. PPD, maybe? |

I`m glad you took it in the way it was intended :-) I`d rather fight the nationalists than ally with them myself though :-) |

If you take the example of France, political alignment of the worker class was not that straightforward: don't forget fascism was also a form of socialism. When Doriot, after visiting Moscow, left the PC and created the PPF, he took with him an important following link |

I have a good friend who says "Fascists are just socialists without the conviction." Other than the internationalist versus nationalist outlooks -- the man has a point. |

Oh, and the gun I was thinking of is the PPD. First manufactured in 1934, modified in '38 and '40, replaced with the PPSh because the PPSh was easier, faster and cheaper to manufacture, while still working as well as the PPD if not better. |

Like that, nicely written :) |

And there probably would be some Breton volunteers to cross the Channel to support either factions. |

Having finally gotten the actual sourcebook, and wanting to stay within its framework somewhat, I believe the Welsh Nationalists will be receiving substantial aid from teh Scottish Republic. Thus enabling them to have access to a Rolls Royce Armoured Car, and even (someday soon) a Cruiser A9 tank. |
