I finished up my game board for 15mm Sci-Fi. I need to make buildings still, but the ground work is all done and looks really nice. I am very happy with how it turned out (though it did warp a bit)

Thoughts and comments are very welcome, and some ideas for buildings would prove helpful as well as I am not sure how I intend to tackle that yet.

Wow, that is cool! Nice idea and well-executed. Were the symbols hand-painted, or stenciled? What materials?

I'd like to know what minis you're using for Eldar, etc.

This should answer most questions. The symbols were stenciled. I used an Eldar font and an automatic cutter to cut the font out.

I'll be using Blue Moons Terran Confederation troopers for my Eldar. Haven't gotten a lot of the details worked out and I've been too broke to go and buy the figures yet.

Nice! How about using Pringles cas with funnels at the top?

Can you fix the warp with a little water and a weight?

Glenn M30 Jun 2011 5:59 p.m. PST

They warp isn't very bad, however there is a coating of spackle on the board, so if I attempt to fix it I'll probably break the spackling, so I am gonna let it slide.

I dunno about the pringles cans, it doesn't seem that it would work that well, too perfect almost. I have seen very little eldar terrain I like though, but we'll see what I come up with.

That board looks great!

As far as the buildings… Maybe small plastic medicine cups and pillars of some kind. I'd try to emulate something like these: link

I like it…

Excellent, gives a 'craft world' feel to the board, you should make some crystal like sstructures for trees.

Just doing an image search for "Craftworld" produced a few useful images. Though the interior image from back in the days of the original Eldar Codex didn't pop up, it is clear from the image search that it has inspired a number of other terrain builders.
