Given the signal-to-noise on the Poll thread, especially the number of suggestions that never make it to a poll, as well as the somewhat obscure link, I find it a bit silly to expect people to see the discussion before the poll is entered.

Now that I've figured the path to the discussion, and have even posted a suggestion or two, it's still unlikely I'll see a pre-poll discussion.

"DH those who ask 'Did you comment in the pre poll'?"

No.
Bit harsh.

Given the signal-to-noise on the Poll thread

One understands 'irony' then?

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP07 Jun 2011 10:29 a.m. PST

Bit harsh.

Absolutely!

I should be for letting myself get frustrated by several 'Topic is too long' messages. ;->=

@Connard Sage – Never heard the irony, but you may be quite right, and I've been dense.

Ah, one doesn't understand irony then. Forget I mentioned it.

Plynkes07 Jun 2011 10:35 a.m. PST

DH the dingbats that moan that their preferred option isn't in the poll then too.

Sauce for the goose.

I prefer 'bronzey' to irony. It's softer and easier to chew.

Get real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, good heavens no.
I would have a permanent suite in the DH.

You have to participate in the Primary Elections, people. The General is not enough.
I have no idea how that translates outsice the USA, though. grin

Dear Editor can only run a Poll on what has been suggested. If no one nominates Grouchy in a "funny name for a Beneral Poll", what can you do? I would nominate the Comte de Silly, and if I missed the Suggestion I would be out of luck.

…especially the number of suggestions that never make it to a poll…

Can you elaborate? I'm not sure what you're whining about. Are you saying that people are making poll suggestions that I'm ignoring? Or that people are suggesting poll options that don't get into the poll?

…as well as the somewhat obscure link…

Well, yes, a link on the homepage might be a bit obscure to some people… grin

The Poll Suggestions board is something I hit every few days. Try it! You might like it! I mean, your suggestions my still get ignored by The Star Chamber, but really, you won't feel bad for not having tried.

This would not be an issue if you had the entire Front PAge turned ON, and simply ignored titles that offended thee. No need to pluck your eye out.

John the OFM07 Jun 2011 12:20 p.m. PST

Having Poll Suggestions turned OFF, and Polls turned ON seems a bit odd, but maybe that's just me. grin

Sundance07 Jun 2011 12:38 p.m. PST

Don't know why it would be obscure when I see every poll suggestion made on the feed.

No to the OP.

There's a link on the polls page that tells you where polls are suggested.

It's a fairly clear and simple system.

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER07 Jun 2011 6:18 p.m. PST

It's not just you John.
