Haven't we all been in the bar at lunchtime at a convention and agreed that what the club needs is a War of Jenkin's Ear campaign? And there just so happens to be a new range on sale

Every project I've started I've started stone cold sober. I may want to reflect on that.

Despite being a strict Muslim, everything I do is under the influence of alcohol. I've just bought a water-heater on ten year hire-purchase and what the gas company doesn't know is that I'm drinking myself to death. Marvellous piece of business.

1. I did a Necromunda Goliath gang all done in classic 'alternative lifestyle bikers' done in hot pink cammo. After that little 'incident', the Club guys made me a little plaque for my painting desk. Rich should not drink and paint We still get laughs outta it. |

GenWinter – you SAID it. That – and anything Napoleonic. You HAVE TO BE INSANE – to start one of those. :-) |

I've started projects then needed the influence of alcohol to get over them. |

I frequently have a beer WHILE working, but I start all my projects sober. (Many projects are bought and sit on the shelf for months or even years until starting work
some people would call that procrastination
maybe I should pop a beer then open a box.) And if I'm going to be using power tools (electric mini-drill, hot glue gun) or any significant cutting, I do that first and delay imbibing until that part is done.
Painting, gluing, flocking, sculpting
it's safe to drink while doing that. Worse thing that can happen is next session there's a little slop to fix up. |
