Sumerian Chariots in 6mm

Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

Any advice appreciated. I am inclined to go with old glory because of the price. Under the 4 horse chariots are the horses in appropriate galluping poses or are they standing still?

If you would consider 15mm then I can recommend Outpost Wargames Services who do really nice racing chariots:

Personally I think they look much better than using models of heavier war chariots.

Historical or fantasy?
For a fantasy game go with Kallistra. Undead chariots pulled by giant rats, barbarian chariots with rhinos, what's not to like?

These are 15mm resin made for Charioteer from Two Hour Wargames.

The Old Glory horses are gallopy. The crew is cast as one piece and not great.

Magister Militum look a lot better, not a great cost difference:

I've been thinking about doing this with some of my Warmaster stuff.

What rules are you going to use?
Do you plan to allow magic?

Don't have a ruleset chosen yet. May just use the old Avalon Hill rules with some modifications.

You may want to consider 6mm then … at that scale, you can mount the chariots and teams on 1/2" squares — the same size as the AH chits from the game. (Irregular miniatures has actual Roman racing chariots, and I once found Greek Successor State ones that looked appropriate)

Plus, the few carts I've seen in 10mm (even the ones above) aren't Ben Hur-ry enough
