Anyone know what type of Trucks the Israelis used? I see jeeps and halftracks made by the US. Did they use WWII vintage trucks too, or modern Vietnam vintage?

I don't know what model the Israeli official Army Trucks were. I do know that when fully mobilized, the IDF used a great deal of impressed civilian transport, especially in the reserve brigades: semi-trailers, delivery vans, panel trucks, pickups, private autos, Egged busses, all hastily daubed with mud for camouflage.

I think you would see more WWII vintage US trucks in 67 and more Viet Nam era trucks in 73. They captured tons of Soviet stuff from the Arabs in 67 so you would see a lot of that in 73, especially in reserve units. Strangely enough when looking at pictures in various books about the wars, a lot of Dodge Power Wagons show up…

Take a look at the videos on this link:

the main trucks would have been the us 2.5 and 5 ton 6x6 trucks, just like the vietnam americans, along with some mercededs and captured russian trucks.
they also had some gb trucks like scammells to pull thier tanks with on semi trailers.
they also had quite a few ww2 gmc 6x6 and dodge weapons cariers and their more modern equivilents like the kaiser jeep ect.
aparently they captured over 6000 russian trucks from the arabs as well as land rovers and jeeps.

Don't forget that they make an extensive usage of civilian buses from the national company

Zippy is correct – lots of pictures of civvy types = when a war comes the trucks and drivers go off to fight. People sy it is impossible to find a bus and deliveries of food is really slowed. That is another reason why Israel tries to make its wars as short as possible. A long war would cripple the civilian economy
