I own a fair number of Bob Murch's excellent figures.
The man is the best at pulp figure sculpting and is by far the most prolific.
Actually in a year's time, I think Mr. Murch produces as much as the rest of the pulp figure sculptors combined. My poll would involve what do we want to see Mr. Murch add to his figure line in the near future.
Personally, I could really use liner (Queen Mary/Hindenburg) crew.

How about some 'Shawshank' type convicts and warders? Chain gangers, escapees, cell-block bruisers, weaselly snitches, brutal guards, and bloodhounds. And of course… Ol' Sparky! Some cryptids would be nice, too… the Jersey Devil, Mothman, Florida Skunk Ape, Chupacabra, etc. And what about some West African 'Leopard Men' asassins? (and their scantily-clad High Priestess?) |

Mr. Murch has been doing great by me just doing what he feels like. I'm always into more great characterful models I can use for my Weird War gaming (my AE-WWII Germans are centered on his figs.) Would love to see more heroic types and nefarious villians. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen types. Umbrella Academy types. Kung fu heroes and masked cowboys. Snake cultists. Etc. |

Mega Dittos to Chuck05. I have done lots of conversions of pulp figures and would love to have used his own heads and weapons. His light deck weapons are used on my ships and on trucks/cars.
link The figures in general cry out for conversions. I turned the German Light Assault troops into Einsatzgruppe Volunteers for VBCW

and bought a set converted to Argentinian troops for the same conflict. I just ordered the Impassive Gestapo Guards to be Immediate Action Organization troops. I'm a rather huge classic mystery fan these days. The itch to do figs inspired by Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin will likely be too hard to resist. With the resin possibilities open thanks to Uncle Mike of 'Strange Aeons' Wolfe's desk and chair would be possible. Probably not the best selling idea but would be a swell set! |

It's been mentioned in similar TMP threads in the past, but film/vaudeville comedians of the '30s and '40s would be nice, maybe even back to the '20s. Bob already does a good Hope, Crosby, and Lamour in the Tropical Castaways pack: link
WC Fields, the Three Stooges (well, four including Shemp), Abbott & Costello, Jimmy Durante, Laurel & Hardy, Mae West, Carole Lombard, Jack Benny, Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy, Red Skelton, Burns & Allen, and the Little Rascals/Our Gang. Come on, who wouldn't want Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla, Buckwheat, and Petey running around on the tabletop? Some of these stars got their start in the '20s.
Speaking of the '20s, you have Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, Fatty Arbuckle, and Mabel Normand. Some of these stars lasted into the '30s, too.
Foundry does Western versions of the Marx Brothers, and Copplestone does a Captain Spaulding, but I'd love to see Bob do a set in '30s garb, plus Margaret Dumont.
And that's not even touching the British comedians of the period.
If all of these were wearing a mix of suits, formal wear, and safari gear, they'd work as generic civilians, partygoers, workers, explorers, etc. |

Personally I prefer to see what Mr. Murch comes up with on his own. The gaming ideas and scenarios come from just looking at the figures. His knowledge of Pulp and it's possibilities outstrip mine by a factor of 10. I need more money and a way to figure out his new ordering system. When I do, I will order. |

Does Nero Wolfe count as a terrain feature? And speaking of unfairly overlooked fictional detectives: Edgar Wallace's Mr. J. G. Reeder is a particular favourite of mine. Pensive, bookish beaurocrat of the Crown Prosecutor's office who happened to have an incorrigibly 'criminal mind', allowing him to see villainous possibilities in every situation. And Dennis Wheatley's aristocratic 1930's occult investigator, the Duke de Richelieu – memorably played by Christopher Lee in the Hammer version of 'The Devil Rides Out'. |

I think a Charlie Chan with his various offspring who appeared in the black and white films (#1 son, #2 son, #4 son, and there was a daughter in a couple!) would be great. I like the suggestions for liner crews and for the sergeants for Gunga Din. I can see really having a lot of fun recreating the fight in the town when they first meet "old toad face." If you're going to do those, add Victor McLuaglin and Shirley Temple from Wee Willie Winkie too! I'm not sure what I'd do with the various commedians suggested above. I have all the Pulp Figures. Most have great game value. Some are just fun to paint, like Mandrake the Magician. I would like to see more characters for the Northland Adventures to go along with Sergeant Preston. Bob, you have some great figures in the Cthulu line. Your sculpting has really improved over the years. Updating some of those packs, like RAF02970, RAF02971, RAF02972, RAF02973, RAF02974, RAF02990, RAF02991, RAF02992, and RAF02994, would be great as well. I'm not into the Cthulu business, although the old silent movie is interesting, but those figures have great game value. Finally, my favorite movie serial (other than the Flash Gordon ones) is Undersea Kingdom with Crash Corrigan. There are some great figures to be made there! Buck |

I also would like Crash Corrigan figures, especially the "water heater" robots. The water heaters on the market now don't quite make it. Also, I would like cowboys and lost civilization soldiers and the robots with cowboy hats from Gene Autry and The Phantom Empire. I think the Radon Zomibes are a good fit for the Commando Cody serials (King of the Rocket Men, Radar Men from the Moon, and Zombies of the Stratosphere). It would be way cool to have mounted and dismounted Thunder Riders from Phantom Empire along with Gene Autry and the two kids (whose names escape me at the moment). I just finished watching the Terry and the Pirates serial, which bears no resembelence to the comic, with my kids. A not-Terry would be good. P.S. Let me throw another crazy idea out there. I think it would be great to have one pack each of "special characters" for Boxer Rebellion. I've even drawn up some sketches of nationality-specific techno gadgets that would be great for each of the nationalities in the Peiking Legation. It would be way cool to have Boxers in large box kits who could fly over the legation and drop small bombs, rocket guns, and perhaps a Chinese dragon like for Chinese New Year that could breath fire and/or mount some other weapons. Take a look at this link: link This is something I did a couple of years ago. The Juggernaut is out of scale compared to the serial, but I think is a more appropriately menacing vehicle for gaming. It would be great to have Unga Kahn's forces, including the robots and the "vol planes." The Atlanteans, both mounted and dismounted, would be good too. Finally, there were some comic releif characters, a kid, and of course a plucky dame. |

I believe the Juggernaut, and the Moon Tank from Radar Men from the Moon, are 1/32nd models. The rocket ships in that series are 1/72nd, excluding the Martian Strato Sled which is 1/144th. However most of the buildings used in wargames aren't strictly the right size, either. I get away with using the rocketships. The thing is to get Bob Murch to cast the Thunder Riders, Gene, Frank Daro and Worlds champion trick rider Betsy King Ross, as well as Crash, Unga Khan and his minions human and robot alike. |

Yes, I have most (perhaps all) of the space ships. They look fine next to 28mm figures. I really like this range. I think the Juggernaught in 1/32 next to the 28mm figures looks better than if it was the same size as in the serial. Recently, I've tried to locate C&S Hobbies to see if there are any new releases, but the link seems to be dead. I've been wanting to get the 1/48 Proteus (Fantastic Voyage) with the top that lifts off for a game. (Bob could probably do a tremendous Racquel Welch in scuba outfit!) Buck |

Find Flash Gordon Buck Rogers in the Themes drop down menu for Herb Deeks goodies. They may have the Proteus you want. Aaarrgghh!!! I did not know about those deck guns, or I had forgotten about them. Otherwise I would have bought them from Bob at Enfilade last weekend. It's time to get my boats done. Fortunately I've got some other good deck guns from Reviresco. But machine guns and 37mm would be really nice to have. Will get them later. |

My system is constructed so that I can manage all aspects of the business myself and produce as many interesting figures as possible while keeping production and shipping costs under control.
