Played the Whispering Woods scenario today with a friend, the scenario is straight from the A song of ice and fire book series – second book IIRC (it's been a while since I read the first 3).

Anyway, the Lannister army commanded by Jaime Lannister is lured into a Stark ambush – and killed to a man with Jaime himself captured. The scenario almost played out the way it did in the books, only Jaime escaped and Adam Marbrand and Kevan Lannister ended up as Stark captives instead.

It was still a smashing Stark victory as the victory points were counted, captured Lannister standards and the devastated Lannister morale together were more than enough.

Thanks for posting! (I added a comment directly to your blog). I'm reading the core rules now and I'm looking forward to playing this game.

It's a really good game, I love the way it plays and leaves lots of tactical choices to be tested in each mission. I can't wait until I can play the Whispering Woods again as the Lannisters this time around, I have an idea on how to crush the Stark army by pulling the troops from the north down to the center and just receive the Stark units with the Red Swordsmen while the rest of the army crushes the Stark forces in the south.
