Gentlemen,

I have a question for you if I may.

I found this board game online that was written by an Argentine games company a long time ago. It looks like a pretty standard type of game but is the only one I can find on the subject of the Campaign of the Andes.

My question is, do you think that it would be worthwhile translating the Spanish text to English. I have started to work on a map conversion for the game that might prove useful for a campaign game of the 1817-18 period that could put up on the Liberator egroup and further gain interest in the period among English speakers. I have loaded the map in the files section.

Here is the egroup.

Here is the link the entire game – it includes rules, counters and the game boards.

The link above has the entire game scanned in and I was curious whether by reading the rules(which are relatively brief) that our Spanish speaking friends could determine if it was a worthwhile game having and maybe as a project translating into English. Are there rules in English for this game anywhere?

Would anyone be interested in translating this or is it too big a job? Could it be done by a number of people that speak Spanish and English that perhaps you know in your gaming group?

I'd be interested to know what your thoughts are on this. It would be good step forward would be providing some sort of background campaign setting to go along with Grenaider Productions Liberator scenario books and its figure range.

Kindest regards

HappyW

For some reason those links didn't work.

Here they are again.

Better still, I've found and translated the rules and have created a new map so the game is pretty much complete. Its all in the Liberator egroup.
