I've played a decent game using "Black Powder" (write up here: link ) and am also looking at the General de Brigade variant "There are your guns". It has been suggested that "There are your guns" might usefully adopt some of the movement penalty rules from the AWI variant "British Grenadier!" to reflect the nature of the terrain in northern Spain. Capitan games have released a Carlist War supplement, but I don't really know anything about their system. Giles |

Depends on what you want. Small actions, larger battles or skirmishes. I've converted John Bull/Patriots into Furia Carlista but you can use almost any Napo set that takes your fancy: GdB+British Grenadier, Black Powder, Sharp Practice, Capitan/Brigadier Carlista, Lasalle and a handful of Spanish rules. The Carlist Wars Yahoo group is a great resource. KC |

I've been using Black Powder. Before that I was using a Warmaster variant that was pretty similar actually. We've had some great games with BP so far. |
