Anyone know who makes these models: link

Would be keen to hear if anyone has a clue.

Never seen those before. They look a bit like the old Frei Korps marines from QRF, but I know they are definitely not from that range.

I'm stumped.

Not much help I know, but if anyone does ID them, I might be up for a few!

How do they scale up to modern sci-fi offerings? It might help point us in the right direction or jog some memories if we knew they were scaled with older "true 15mm" modern infantry.

I've never seen them either, but suspect as mentioned above that they are the Freikorps troops to go with their aliens.

FK are pictured here link

Not sure if that helps or hinders… The look the same style but the poses are different.

Could they be GZG Cal-tex?

Cacique Caribe30 Apr 2011 1:08 p.m. PST

I think that's what they are!

Don't think they're GZG Free Cal Tex judging by this pic

(you'll probably need to "click to emlarge")

No I showed them to Jon at GZG a couple of years ago and he had not seen them before and looking at the FK I am unsure – I don't think it is them.

Martian Root Canal30 Apr 2011 5:38 p.m. PST

Thought they might be RAFM, but I checked and they're not. Wow. That's a puzzler.

Tgunner30 Apr 2011 6:49 p.m. PST

You might try prying one of them off their base and see if it's stamped??? Some miniatures companies have stuff carved on the bottom of the mini's base that identify the company and even the sculptor. That might be worth a try.

They are metal right? There was a Micro Machine like release that were about 15mm in plastic I think.

Love to get some too as then I can sell my Mongoose SST stuff.

Dropship Horizon01 May 2011 2:15 a.m. PST

Definitely not any GZG I know.

Force XXI would be my only other guess.

They are from what was TableTop miniatures before he sold the business. They werre going to be an Aliens insipred section to the range, TT made the marines and an APC based on 'the colonial marine handbook'.

The fig size was meand to scale with other TT (now 15mm.co.uk) or PeterPig figs.

Hi Robin

I think you will find they are Colonial Marines from Table Top Miniatures. I have 24 of them and was looking for more of them myself. Matthew from Table Top Miniatures did sell most of his line of figures to 15mm co a few years back but haven't seen them on there figures for sale though :-(

Cheers Matt

I wouldn't mind seeing 15mm.co.uk release those someday if they have the originals. Not bad poses for that era.

When I asked 15mm.co.uk a few years back at colours in Newbury they did not seem to know about them which was very sad as I really do like these miniatures. I know Matthew who owned Table Top Miniatures had a very expansive range of which most of it has been released by 15mm.co.uk but these have never been released. We can only hope:-)

Of course, 15mm.co.uk didn't even know they had those patrolmen for several years – so it may be that these figures are lying under a bush somewhere in the workshop!

Hi

I've emailed this thread to Alex and Gavin at 15mm.co.uk, just in case.
