I'm talking about huts and the like. What you would have seen in a rural village. Oh, and while you're at it, what about rice paddies? Thanks. |

Timecast and Peter Pig for me. The Flashpoint ones are tiny – more like thatched dog kennels than hooches. |

Our web site domain name expired over the bank holiday weekend and we didn't receive a reminder from our service provider. We have re-registered the domain name and normal service should be resumed shortly. Apologies for any inconvenience. Barrie TimeCast |

Peter Pig's Hooches are great (I have several) and Timecast's stuff is wonderful. |
Buckeye AKA Darryl | 10 Apr 2014 9:02 a.m. PST |
Blue – There are no buildings listed on the Fernvale site. Am I missing something? |

Have you seen the stuff that is included in the new Hallowed Ground Terrain Kickstarter? Might work for you. link |
capt jimmi | 08 May 2014 6:05 a.m. PST |
Hahahaha ! @ Etranger
once you get into the Asian countryside most of the "buildings" are like tiny thatched (Western)dog kennels
except that I'd be too polite to say so
and the dog(/s) also sleeping inside might think "you mean I would have my own place ??
sweeet!" Consider also the 'scale creep' of what's meant to be a small dwelling/'hooch',
that relative to the game scale measures 50 x 30 metres. So is Game mechanics or aesthetics more important ? Timecast easily has the biggest and best finished range of 15mm Vietnam themed buildings
really nice and imaginative pieces! Although the two from Peter Pig are my sentimental favourites. The Manufacturer missing from the list is JR Miniatures which makes dwellings a removable roof. link
as does Battlefront, and the interesting newcomer to the scene
Hallowed Ground Terrain. For rice paddies ..Battlefront makes
and various examples from other smaller makers often turn up on ebay
or suggest to use cut squares of turf from a DIY/Hardware store or Flashpoint Minis
these also make mega-useful packing/cushioning for other terrain pieces, and are super durable. Some good tutorials exist for making yourself. |

And don't forget that Flashpoint-Miniatures makes a nice set of them as well

Yes of course ! , four humble little thatched hooches plus a slightly larger thatched hooch
with a wooden door and window shutters
for the village headman. Also included in a five-hooch pack are a few crazy-large water jars found outside rural dwellings in Vietnam.
We also have a (new improved) animal pen and 10cm length of fence
(designed to snap in half if you want), and a 'village well' piece, so's to help with 'detail'(clutter) for your rural village ..about to be released. Timecast also has a good bunch of useable village 'details' (/clutter)in their 10mm range that also works well in 15mm. |
