I've posted an AAR using the "Through the Mud & the Blood" rules from TooFatLardies on my blog, featuring a German stosstruppen attack on a front line British trench in 1916 supported by one of the true horrors of industrialised warfare – a poison gas attack. It was a tense, competitive game, played in great spirit, and was one of those wargames which, when finished, everyone in the room felt they'd gained an insight (however small) into just how hellish war can be.

Hope you enjoy the AAR. Any comments or questions would be very welcome.

Fantastic report on an exceptional game. Very evocative.

It certainly sounds like a hellish scenario. Good job on the write-up and the photos.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the comments. We have some more games planned for April, including a mini-campaign on some new terrain. I'll be sure to post the AARs on TMP. Thanks again.
