Guess I'm not really surprised, they seemed to collapse a while ago and most of their ranges disappear…

Website is now blank amazonminiatures.com

Bummer. They had some cultists I got that I was hoping to add to, but that range looked to be gone for a while.

That's a shame- I'd gotten nothing but stellar service from them in my handful of dealings, and I'd been considering picking up some more Legions of Steel figures, too…

I wonder if he just forgot to renew the domain name.

I hope they are defunct – they cheated me two years ago and got away with it – damn paypal.

I was hoping they'd get over their difficulties, but it looks like they've gone under.

Shame.

They had approached me about adapting one of my rule sets for use with their minis, and we began corresponding, but then they just stopped responding. That was around mid-2006, but I think even then they were starting to crumble.

Tis a shame they were very handy for ancients heads and others spare bits in 28mm.

They managed to cheat me out of a sizeable sum at the end of 2010, thanks to PayPal. Can't say I'm sorry if they're financially bust.

The bricks n mortar shop they operated out of,called Work & Play – website's has disappeared as well – don't know if the actual shop's closed down?

This isn't the first time I've heard about issues with PayPal. It's the main reason I primary use either AMEX or Visa. If a major vendor doesn't accept Visa then I tend to worry.

Paypal is very good in processing reimbursement claims if something goes wrong, but you have to adhere to their timetable about disputes -- file a claim within 45 days from payment, and escalate if no resolution is reached within other 15 days. Paypal rescued me from a bad trade with GFI Minifigs, and it is now my favorite way to pay.

i never had a problem with them used paypal ok

The thing with Paypal is to start emailing vendor at the 30 day mark and file the claim at the 44-45 day mark.

Let the vendor either scramble to complete the order or refund the money.

A vendor who is sincere will not object to negotiations while the clock ticks.
