Nic at Eureka contacted me today to advise that both the proposed 15mm Modern Russians and Chechen lines have passed the 600 pre-orders mark to go into production! (Cheers, applause, huzzahs, etc
). link Nic has stated that he has no time-line for starting production but he has been in contact with sculptors Mike Broadbent and Kosta Heristanidis about working on the two sets. Both sculptors are booked through mid year but Nic stated he is confident he will have both lines produced this year. As these will be the first dedicated Chechens produced in 15mm I am particularly excited about them being made! Thanks so much to those who assisted in both these projects by pre-ordering even 10 figures. It all helped. Considering I submitted both these ideas to Nic on 18 August, 2010, I would say the turn-around on crossing the finish line has been near amazing. Hopefully the PLA Chinese will not be far behind either! Thanks again, and please keep supporting Nic at Eureka and his P300 program. |

Thanks guys. Glad we could get them done. The Eastern European Nato troops and Pla Chinese are coming along nicely as well. I think in time the Taliban and Hamas will take off as well. |

And
just like that, the PLA appear to have crossed the finish line ;-0 link |

How does this pre-orders thing work? Am I being asked to place an order without even a concept drawing of the proposed minis? I'm not saying I won't do that, I'm just old-fashioned and this is a new concept for me. |

Yes, pretty much Ninja. Except you dont put any $ down when u pre order. If at any point during the creative process you dont like what you see you may cancel your pre order. Its basically a way of ensuring the sculptor will make $ for the work they put in. Hope that helps. You can read more about the program on Eurekas page. The beginning set for each of the first three to cross the finish line (Russians, Chechens, PLA) will feature b/t 10-12 distinct poses. For example, the Russians will have something like 2 poses each of a PKM, RPK, RPG, AK w/ grenade launcher, a leader, and then several AK poses. Similar for the the Chechens and and PLA. When additional orders (beyond the initial 600) are received then additional poses and heavy weapons can be added to the line (heavy mg, mortar, etc
). |
