Like those. I really dont need another 6mm army:>). Got too many already and now will have another reason not to start 15mm. Gonna start putting aside my game budget. Al |

I've ben wanting quad bikes and jet bikes in particualr, but i cant see any pics of the jet bikes (i'm a bit fussy!) but this stuff looks great! |
elsyrsyn | 01 Mar 2011 11:08 a.m. PST |
I quite like most of those. Is it a tauntaun rip-off? Looked sort of saurian to me, but I only glanced at that one. Doug |

Cool Another dinosaur figure which cant be bad and the quad looks useful for moderns. Cheers Kieran |

Holy cow. That is some really nice stuff- Well selected items, some excellent sculpts ( Not so much on one lot of powered armour, who look more like humanoid aliens to me :/ ), But comprehensive and useful for a number of rules systems. And the 6-wheeler is something every range needs- a light "Jeeves/Jeep/Humvee" style runabout for infantry. When are they to be released? |

I've been waiting for these since seeing the sculpts on Michael Lovejoy's website some time ago. Finally they're here. |

Besides the tauntaun, which I need to buy, just because, I like a lot of the rest too, since I've started into 6mm sci-fi with the Hammer's Slammers recent release

Thanks for posting L4. Please excuse my english, I am French Canadian and french is my mother tongue. CW I agree with you about the power armour, actually the same can be said for the robots. They have 4 arms, 2weapons and two normal and if you look at their face they could be used for an insectoid race. I really wanted generic figures and Michel Lovejoy did a great job on these, capturing what I wanted originally. The range will grow I have already commissioned Micheal for the next batch, among other a felinoid race 8mm tall. this race will be fallowed by a reptil race and than a methane breathing race. Now what I really would like from you is what you would like to see added to the human range. CW, I will ask Michael for a Dreadnought Armor similar in size to Epic Terminator. As for the beast rider, I dont want to get involved with IP problems so it is a bipedal Kangaroo type living on desert planet. If you want to say it counts as a Tautaun it is your call, in my uiverse it is a Kanga rider. I have written the background for the Solar Empire, It should be on PFC website soon. Again L4 thanks for posting on all the boards Gerard Goyette (Templar) |

Gerard, I think you have covered most of the required infantry types for a realistic but interesting SF army in this scale. If I had my desire, I would suggest perhaps an engineering team with a modified Walker as an addition. Heavy Powered armour ( Like a Dreadnought) would be interesting, but perhaps not necessary. The PA you have there is good, and I hope you didn't think I was downgrading it or the robots – they are excellent. |

You are most welcome Templar and thank you ! |
gergoy1951 | 01 Mar 2011 6:11 p.m. PST |
CW, Thanks for the suggestion about the eng team I still have a budget for that, could you tell me exactly what you would like to see for engineers and what mod for the walker. You cr contact me directly at ger.goy@videotron.ca or here on this topic. I apprecite ny help you or other members can offer. Regards Templar |
Covert Walrus | 01 Mar 2011 8:13 p.m. PST |
I would say an SF Engineering team would include figures equipped with tool boxes and computers in cases; A couple of figures carrying demolition charges – maybe a small robot or two with them for defusing and/or planting explosive rounds. For an engineering walker, I'd take the current one, remove the weapons and add manipulator arms like the ALIENS Powerloader ( best picture I could find hallert.net/powerloader/), plus a crane mounted on the back that leans forward over the cockpit. |

6mm quad bikes, awesome! Slowly my plan comes together

commanderroj | 02 Mar 2011 5:42 a.m. PST |
Jeeps and aroured cars for the desert, grav and wheeled (although what a sci-fi wheeled jeep looks like compared to the common variety-Old Crows Goanna and Gecko are the closest in 15mm. Great for a Long Range Desert Group.) |

right – Not sure who will field those ( The NAC have hoverskis, My ScanFed use Irregular Gravs as snowmobiles with enhanced mobility, I'm building my own for the OUDF based on the Brigade Grav vehicles and the NSL have good old-fashioned wheeled bikes and trikes) but SOMEBODY I field is getting those little beauties to ride! . . . Possibly the ESU given the helmets. |
Covert Walrus | 03 Mar 2011 10:00 a.m. PST |
Oh, Lsutehall, slightly off topic, but did you realise there have been quad bikes available from Iron Wind for a while? They're metal casts of the 'Clicky' Mechwarrior line link |
Lsutehall | 03 Mar 2011 2:58 p.m. PST |
Thanks for the heads up CW, I wasn't aware of those. Not to hijack, but do they have room for a standing trooper on the back? |

Do any of you who have samples have comparisons of the infantry vs. the action infantry? Presumable the action infantry are more animated, but it would be nice to see the difference
|
Covert Walrus | 28 Mar 2011 2:21 p.m. PST |
John, the website now has pictures- The Action Infantry includes the kneeling and prone figures, while the standard set is all the other poses. Neither coem with a command detachment. |
gergoy1951 | 30 Mar 2011 3:13 a.m. PST |
CW, both regular infantry SEM1 and In action SEM2 contain a command sprue made up of a communication tech (center figure)plus a bareheaded commander and pointing commander. additionnal command sprues are available in SEM3 light weapons. Gérard Goyette |
Covert Walrus | 31 Mar 2011 2:06 p.m. PST |
Oh, they do? Sorry, Gerard, it looked from the descriptions that only the support infantry had integral command. My error. :) |
Lerchey | 22 Apr 2011 11:29 a.m. PST |
Got mine last week. Very nice models. I ordered one pack of SEM2 and one of SEM3. SEM2 infantry in "action poses" is quite nice. Not so sure about "action" in the poses compared to say, GHQ moderns, but very nice. The pack included 12 riflemen standing, 12 advancing (sort of), 12 firing (standing), 6 kneeling/firing, 6 prone firing and 3 command figures. SEM3 "light weapons" is also quite nice, but a touch confusing for me. :) The pack contained 9 command figures, 3 prone snipers, 3 prone spotters/FOs, 6 Anti-air missiles (shoulder launched, angled up), 6 AT missiles (prone), 15 guys with a big S.A.W. or something advancing, 6 different guys that I'd also class as S.A.W.s of some kind, and then 3 kneeling guys firing some kind of rifle with a different rifle on their backs (of course, my eyes aren't what they used to be, but that's what it looked like to me). Very uncertain about the kneeling guys from SEM3. 15 also seemed an odd number for the SAWs since everything else is 3s, 6s, or 12s (the SAW guys are 5 strips of 3). I haven't cleaned or painted them yet, but am looking forward to doing so as soon as I figure out how they need to be organized for the small force I'm going to field with them. Very nice looking minis and I'm happy with both the size and the level of detail. I'll be looking forward to seeing what other forces/races are produced in this line. |

Covert Walrus, If you take a look at Micheal Lovejoy website, you will find pictures of the greens for the SEM Combat Engineers sculpted by Michael. I would appreciate your comments and yes there will be an Engineer/civilian version of the walker. Regrds Gérard |
Covert Walrus | 15 Jun 2011 1:26 a.m. PST |
Oh, wow, is my first impression Gerard. :) On more critical notes; Like the three engineers- the one with the mines/demo charges/limpet bombs is very nice, as is the third with the toolboxes and backpack. the centre one is good too, though the piece of lumber across his shoulders is a little plain and stark to me but certainly nicely animated. All good and well done. The robots – Love the tracked waldo-arm on the far right, though the first one is a work of art – looks high-tech but built for rough service on the battlefield with all sorts of sensors, probes, tool jacks and extensions on it. I don't really like the middle robot as it reminds me too much of the robots from Disney's BLACK HOLE movie, which were just too cute for words and not all that practical, but your opinion may be different. |
gergoy1951 | 15 Jun 2011 3:18 a.m. PST |
CW, if you remove the arms you get a 3 wheeled dome headed little robot with an attitude and whistling
