Other action figures can easily pull double duty, like these Ben 10 7" figures coming down the pipe picture |

I have had to resist picking up those Ben 10 figures. They would be perfect for Atomic Super Humans demos. -Ken Radioactive Press |

Oh man
those Ben 10 figures are great! We're gonna need a bigger display case

Ok – but just put it as a sub-board under SF |
| 28mmMan | 25 May 2011 7:06 a.m. PST |
I support the Giant Monster effort but I think the niche will do just fine with clear thread titles. A new board is not needed at this point IMO :) ***** Hey just for fun, what is your go to type of giant monster? (not by name but rather by type) giant ape giant lizard/dino giant flyer giant goo/ooze giant robot giant guy in tights giant bug/spider/crab or other? ***** I like a big bug/spider/crab type :) |
| sharkbait | 25 May 2011 9:40 a.m. PST |
giant lizard/dino giant robot (close second) |
| 28mmMan | 25 May 2011 5:30 p.m. PST |
hoo ha ha
:) Do you have an image of your preferred giant lizard/dino or robot? Do you like the movie/TV ones only or whatever you can get your hands on? |
| sharkbait | 25 May 2011 5:41 p.m. PST |
That never gets old, does it 28mmMan?! Godzilla is certainly my favorite from a lizard/dino perspective. However, I'm not picky as long as the monster mini/figure looks cool. I most often play GMR using Monpoc monsters from Series 1. |

Hope it does not make you mad :( Your name makes me smile every time :) |

Monpocs have some really nice figures
I have considered doing some one off's in a larger scale; 6-8" |
| sharkbait | 25 May 2011 6:03 p.m. PST |
No, it doesn't make me mad. It actually gives me a laugh. Most of my monsters are in the 2-3" tall range, but there are times when larger figures (6") would be nice to have. My favorite from the Monpoc set that I have are the Cthul and Planet Eaters – particularly Gorgahdra (aka Mr. Krabs). |
| 28mmMan | 25 May 2011 6:21 p.m. PST |
Giantmonster (TMP member) has shifted to the 12-14" toys! Yikes right?! How about this group promo poster? link they all look good there :) Gorgahdra is fun link The Cthul are my favorites to look at by far. I have not played Monpoc so I do not know if they are up to the look, but I like 'em. link Cthugrosh is still my favorite picture |

I have to admit that playing Giant Monster Rampage with the 12" figures is a lot of fun, the only downside is space. The large figures with some Hot Wheels and large building blocks really gives the game a cinematic feel. I don't always use the 12" figures. I frequently use my 1.5" SD figures for playtesting. -Ken Radioactive Press |

Hey Ken, have you considered booking an afternoon with the local school or YMCA for access to their gym/basketball floor? How fun would that be? You could actually show the value of flyers, ranged attacks, group/cluster types, very fast types, tunnelers, aircraft, etc. ***** I was not being critical about the large scale/sized monsters
I would use them also except for the cost and the room needed :) |

Cardboard boxes! I worked with a group out Orlando to put together a huge game of Star Wars fleet battles with 6' Imperial Cruisers. All the ships were mounted on wheeled platforms
weekee weekwee weekee weeekeee
lots of fun. |

Off center here..but in 1978 my buddy and I tried to get into the Guinness World Records by making the biggest cardboard town model
well we failed miserably but being kids with tons of boxes we ended up making a huge play area on the high school gym (during summer) that lasted a couple days
we made string slides between buildings and added our huge collection of micronauts link Build it and they will come! Raaararaaraaarrr |

Just to clarify, what kind of board are we looking for here ? Giant Monster Board – a board about Giants that are monsters ? But Giant's are not monsters, they are just differently sized. Giant Monster Board – a really big board about monsters ? No – let's just have a normally sized board about monsters. |
| Willtij | 22 Jun 2011 3:22 p.m. PST |
Yes but maybe for all things Japanese Sci-Fi so it could cover the gaming of stuff like: link or link |
| GiantMonster | 22 Jun 2011 4:44 p.m. PST |
I don't know if a giant monster board is warranted, but a board that covers popular Japanese science fiction genres might have enough interest. It could be used for discussing gaming things similar to Dragonball Z, Godzilla, Gundam, Power Rangers, or Kamen Rider, just to name a few. -Ken Radioactive Press |
| Given up for good | 23 Jun 2011 3:45 a.m. PST |
I'm in favour of this board (well an expanded genre version) for two reasons 1) I own a copy of link 2) It may destroy other boards that we no longer need |
