Doublesix66, I had the roads lazer cut from 3mm MDF board textured with sand and gravel and then painted. Still need to dry brush with a lighter shade and flock.

Plutarch 64, I use Humbrol wood 110. After priming it black I paint the logs with very little 110 paint, it gets a dirty look to it. After drying I will add a bit more paint to the brush and the paint wirh rought stokes just covering here and there. Hope it helped.
