McWong7318 Jan 2011 6:14 a.m. PST

Passing this year, and haven't played in any games for a few years, but it's always worth the visit from Sydney.

Matt, what are you selling exactly from Wartime that's painted?

Cardinal Hawkwood18 Jan 2011 6:44 a.m. PST

Well you will meet me Macross..I have been to every Cancon bar two, the very first and the one when the Bushfires were so very bad, that driving there was quite risky , that is around 30 or so Cancons…

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER18 Jan 2011 6:53 a.m. PST

That guy that looks like me might be there.

Cardinal Hawkwood18 Jan 2011 3:15 p.m. PST

I don't always stay that long..

Mithridates18 Jan 2011 4:36 p.m. PST

Cardinal – when was the first CANCON? My memory is not what it used to be but I suspect late 1970's at the Albert Hall??

Matt will try and catch up to say hello. Can you wear something distinctive please.

Cheers

Garry

You can always spot the good cardinal by his scarlet foot high Mitre cap…Its fairly disticntive…

I shall be popping in briefly on the Saturday morning, before I get dragged off to do something cultural.

I'm hoping to linger around the Black Powder Blenheim game like a bad smell, though

Enteburger18 Jan 2011 9:00 p.m. PST

I'll be there on the Saturday.

cyrus518 Jan 2011 9:39 p.m. PST

Should be good for shopping/browsing and demo games. Zero interest in any of the comps. Matt are you flogging off any 28mm ancients?

Barks118 Jan 2011 11:22 p.m. PST

I'll be there Sat/ Sun, Blood Bowl + browsing the stalls.

Cardinal Hawkwood18 Jan 2011 11:34 p.m. PST

The first one I went to was in the Albert Hall and must have been 1978 ? I was working on the Tin soldier stand..
Willow, distinctive? something of a concept to juggle with..

Dagorlad19 Jan 2011 3:48 a.m. PST

Safe journeys for all those travelling on the road to CanCon. I know several guys making the drive from Adelaide (over 1400km) to be there. I'm sure you'll all enjoy yourselves, but take it easy getting there and back again.

trailape19 Jan 2011 4:17 a.m. PST

Can't make it this year.
Getting ready to go overseas,..

McWong, I am not sure if BW has painted and Wartime stuff, but a large box of metal arrived with him today. Even though i am reorganising allot of the figures there will be modern insurgents (including figures being cleared out), aussies, BushMasters (only 10 of them so don't dally if looking for one), WWII ATG's and a pile of support weapon packs, everything from .30cal on tripod through to maxim guns. Also sent some ColdWar/Vietnam US Army packs and NVA!

and of course about 20 each of the pre production 28mm Hanoverians for those looking to get a start on their battalions!!

WombatDazzler19 Jan 2011 5:48 p.m. PST

I will be playing in the DBMM.

Theword19 Jan 2011 7:49 p.m. PST

I'll be there.. just to browse and shop as usual..

DuckanCover20 Jan 2011 3:39 a.m. PST

Me and mine will be there for a little while on Sunday. Our son's got some dollars he's dying to spend on Star Wars figures….. We adults will be mainly window shopping. Take care everyone, getting there and back.

cheers
Matt

McWong7320 Jan 2011 4:13 p.m. PST

Thanks Mathew. It's a Bleeped text I can't make it, but I can assume that you haven't sent your entire stock of Bushmasters to Canberra?

MathewatWarTimeMiniatures20 Jan 2011 9:10 p.m. PST

No mate, kept half on hand, but only 3-4 left now. :)

Dagorlad

Safe journeys for all those travelling on the road to CanCon.

On the way down to Canberra at about 1:00am Friday morning, we were about 15 kilometres north of Boorawa when as we sailed around a bend there was a massive 'roo right in the middle of my lane. Bit hard to swerve much with a big trailer on the car, but I managed to swing around him (about 6' tall, so I assume a male) and carry on. He didn't even have the sense to move even when we went past. It was a bit of a shock, but served well to wake me up.

Cheers
