Two Fat Lardies are having a sale and I am tempted by this. There are 3 previous topics on the game but none are much help. One chap has described his Australian unit but is that a big or small force?
Anyhow I have some 6mm Irregular Turks, Arabs and British that have not been out of their box for years. I would like to use the strips of 3 as is and have it out. Is this going to work?

I'd suggest joining the TFL yahoo group if you're not already a member. If you are checkout message 49020 as this gives a starter force using 10mm Pendraken so should translate into 6mm.

The suggestion was 3 BTNS imperial imfantry, 1 of Indians, 1 of Aussies, 1 of Senegalese Tirailleurs, 6 MG section, 3 signal, 3 artillery, a Rolls AC, a MK IV tank and a squadron of cavalry

The Turks havs 3 BTNs Turkish Infantry, 1 of Arab Legion, 1 of Kurdish tribesmen, 6 MG sections, 3 signal, 3 artillery and a squadron of cavalry.

I play it in 20mm and have 3 British Battalions, 1 Scottish Battalion, 3 Indian Battalions, 1 ANZAC Battalion, lots of MG teams, two artillery pieces and a squadron of British cavalry.

My Turks are 4 32 man Battalions, 1 Regular Sanussi Battalion, 2 coys Turkish Sailors, lots of HMG teams, 2 guns and a squadron of cavalry.

Arabs are about 90 infantry, 15 Camelry, 1 HMG team and 30 Cavalry.

I'd probably go for a strip representing 1 game figure making an imperial company 8 strips etc

I also do East, West and South-West Africa but that's another story.

I hope this helps.

One thing about ITSLU, even though some of the scenarios list some number of figures per company, the game is really stand based.

To translate the suggestions posted by Tinned Fruit above into game terms:
1 British Infantry Btn = 4 Coys of 4 bases each (16 bases total), + 1 HQ base
British Cavalry Regiment = 3 Sqd of 3 bases each, + 1 HQ base
Turkish Infantry Btn = 4 Coys of 3-4 baess each, + 1 HG base
Turkish Cavalry Regiment = 4 Sqd of 3 bases each, +1 HQ
Arabs = any number of bases, but the scenarios that have them have between 8-13 bases
Artillery for both sides = 2-4 bases
Tripod MGs = 1 base frequently attached to Inf & Cav units on either side

Being the overly obsessive person that I am, I itemized all the forces necessary for each of the scenarios published in TFL's bi-annual specials (11 scenarios total).

If you want to post an email address, I can send you the spreadsheet I have. It lists each scenario, the nationalities, & how many bases of which type troop you need for the game.

Hi Black Cavalier,
I know this is a very old thread, but if you could send the spreadsheet you offered to me too I'd greatly appreciate it…
