Hey Guys,

Just finished off these guys, along with some Britannia Commandos. Excellent clean sculpts with minimal cleanup required, only one or two odd poses. ( Grenade bloke again! ) More pics over on the blog. littletinmen.blogspot.com

Cheers,

Ben

And the Commandos, painted up as Commandant Kieffer's French Commando.

And I'm waiting for the 28mm version! :-)
Ansbachdragoner, great paintjob on both the Commandos and the Germans. Your attention to detail makes them look like much bigger minis!

Those look great! Very nice sculpts and painting as well. Nice and smooth layering. Well done.

Great painting, Ansbackdragoner! Are they hard or soft plastic?

ansbachdragoner05 Jan 2011 9:10 p.m. PST

Thanks for the comments guys.
Peterx: they are hard plastic.

trailape06 Jan 2011 3:22 a.m. PST

Any idea if they are compatable with VALIANT's Plastic Germans?
Cheers

Aliosborne06 Jan 2011 4:38 a.m. PST

I saw some of these at a show in the UK. I would say they are smaller than the valiant plastics (which are huge), and more in scale with most other 20mm manufacturers

I do think someone did a size comparison somewhere here on TMP a few months ago

Like the figures overall but they don't seem to have got the end of the rifle barrel quite right which makes it look a bit odd. Hopefully won't be so noticeable on the 15mm ones.

Buzzkill06 Jan 2011 6:53 p.m. PST

I agree, the rifles are odd and out of proportion. Also, in the first pic, the rifleman on the far right is holding his Kar 98 like it has a pistol grip, looks weird. That being said, the paint job is great, I really like it. I especially like the collar tabs, insignia and other detail work.

As far as compatibility with Valiants goes, Valiants are 1/72 or 25mm so they will be larger than 20mm stuff obviously.

Obviously?
Have you ever noticed the variation is some 25 / 28mm figs?

very nice job!

These are tempting me away from the gates of Moscow, on to the road to Berlin…

:-)

Cardinal Hawkwood08 Jan 2011 7:52 a.m. PST

They don't mix with valiant..I doubt they will mix easily with AB..sadly on the small side

Sparker10 Jan 2011 3:14 p.m. PST

Well clearly they shouldn't mix with AB since AB are 1/76th and these are 1/72nd. Valiant seem to be on a scale entriely their own…

PeterH19 Jan 2011 3:20 p.m. PST

i think they will work fine with AB, but i'm still waiting on my order and don't know for sure yet. Valiant, while excellent, are much bigger than AB.

Thanks for the comments guys. Also, i've received my AB command figures, and they fit perfectly. The only difference is the quality of the sculpts, size and proportions are pretty much spot on. I'll post up some comparison pics once i've painted some AB guys.

Last Hussar05 Feb 2011 6:54 p.m. PST

I enquired about the size – this is the reply

23mm foot to eye. Carfully designed to fit with italeri, revell, britannia, faa, raventhorpe etc

So – 25-26mm to top of head. Not really 1:72. 20mm is 1:85 -1:90 ish

viking11 Feb 2011 7:56 a.m. PST

I just was at the Plastic Soldier Company site and the new late war Brits are due to come out on the 19th of theis month. There is some Bag new the price of all the 20mm figures will increase to 11 pounds. Any order before the 19th will be at the old price.
