I've always thought it would be nice to have actual paint chips for all of the different brands of paint I use. The prices, although fair, were more than I'm willing to pay…and the chip sets don't include my custom mixes.

So, I started a little project for my use. I picked up some "factory-second" minis at a convention a while back. I cleaned them up, applied primer, and have started painting patches on them with different colors. When the paint is dry I add a code so I know which paint I'm looking at.

Not only do the test paint minis let me see the final color, they let me see what the colors look like on the type of minis I frequently paint. Kevin

A surprising simple idea, nice.
