Warning – this may upset some of you – follow links at your own risk…

I've just come across this game link of Greenpeace ships vs oil drillers.

As well as being a fun 5 minutes game you may be able to make it the basis for a strategy game leading to boarding actions etc.

Its from the makers of 'War on Terror' link – Terrorbull Games so you may want to class it as Not PC!

Seems like it would be a short battle.

So big oil drills more reserves to be able to supply the fuel oil that greenpeace ships need to be able to stop big oil from drilling more reserves.

I was hoping it would put into account the effects of global warming, not realistic enough for me without that.

I love educational games.

The Green agenda is riddle with bad judgment (see Clean Air Act vs MTBE in the water supply).
The push for wind power vs falling natural gas prices is another.

God save us from their "good intentions" !

GreenPeace seem to have conveniently forgotten the whole 'Brent Spar' boarding and subsequent confession that they didn't have a clue what they were talking about. Perhaps Shell should offer that as an expansion set?

I will always support companies that produce a useful product over smelly hippies who haven't a clue what they are talking about.

Won't be a patch on the Original "French Secret Service Murder Greenpeace Activist & Get Off Scot Free" although the game balance might be better.

David Manley02 Jan 2011 11:01 a.m. PST

They didn't get off scot free (two agents were imprisoned)a nd the bloke who died was a photographer who went back on board the ship after the first charge detonated (which was designed to encourage everyone to get off).

For a Greenpeace vs. whalers game look here :)

Can my Oil ship carry marines?

Yes, Ultramarines but Chaos would work just as well.

They didn't get off scot free (two agents were imprisoned)

For less than two years on a Pacific atoll (talk about a holiday camp!)
and four others did get off scot free.

the bloke who died was a photographer who went back on board the ship after the first charge detonated
So basically it was suicide was it?

whill402 Jan 2011 2:29 p.m. PST

It would seem that way.

Oooh, so Mother Nature needs a favor?! Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys! Nature started the fight for survival, and now she wants to quit because she's losing. Well I say, hard cheese. -- Mr. Burns

I had that as a bumper sticker on my jeep. I got hassled by the hippies (who read the whole thing and found no humor) and the other end (who thought I was part of "earth first").

Jacques Cousteau was a smelly hippie? And this would be a tossup game; because, BECAUSE the Calypso has a secret atomic power drive, which also powers the latest weapons. The public at large would be SHOCKED to learn….

Phil Hendry Fezian03 Jan 2011 12:46 p.m. PST

Why did I read 'smelly hippie' as 'smelly hippo'??
