All, I'm finally adding some more content to the Basement Gaming Bunker. This time it's a showcase of Khurasan's Space Demons using Dan's (Cacique Caribe) magic painting formula. It was everything he promised in that original thread and more
I've never had such an easy time getting models ready for the tabletop! Suggestions and criticism welcome as always. link Dan's original post: TMP link Chris |

Nice work, the burgundy metalic looks pretty cool. |

Nice work Chris. Sometimes simple is the best way to do things. Just as an idea, you can do colored metal armor or metallic skin by applying a few layers of Citadel Wash over bare metal and then sealing it with a gloss primer and then a little Dullcoat to kill the heavy shine. I used it to do a number of Halo inspired troopers using GZG's New Israelis. The idea came from Dropship Horizon. link Jeff |

Jeff, I do like that effect on the not-Spartans that both you and Mark have done
probably the next technique I'm going to steal! I've narrowed it down to two candidates for that style: the 15mm.co.uk Retained Knights or the Blue Moon Idirion Legion. Or both
. I have a few squads of each sitting around and no solid plans for either of them yet. :) Chris |

Thanks everyone! The biomechanical look is exactly what I was going for, Jon. In my gaming world these are used in the way the Parasachnids are in your own fluff
a biologically engineered weapon designed to clear unwanted life forms from a planet. I'm thinking about working the Rebel Minis Alien Raptorz into my universe somewhere as well. They would serve as the original species from which these were engineered. Chris |

Chris, Those look awesome! Great job there. Dan PS. Glad to see the technique is being used by someone else. It is so simple that I was afraid no one would give it a shot. :) |
