I was picking up some Mage Knight minis from Ebay to use in other games and I came across this little bit of info.

Not exactly what I'd hope for. Some new minis would be nice. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what they do.

Maybe it will spin-off and spawn some minis to go with it.

I would have thought that WK had long ago used up its fan loyalty and trust.

Surely this is a case of "Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me"

Roger that!

Look on the bright side.

In another decade, you'll have a glut of inexpensive prepaints to debase in the freezer and use for rule sets that don't require mandated figures from a single manufacturer.

This is not to say that a re-launch of MK is destined to fail, but that the collectible aspect of the game will make great sculpts into non optimal playing pieces, and vice-versa.

Now, if there's suddenly a turn of conscience and this game is released with well balanced faction packs where you see what you get, the game could really raise some interest.

Then again, that won't keep Billy CrackPacks interest for very long.

Wait… Wait… I just re-read that…

So, they're going to do a board and possibly card game based on the MK Universe? I don't want to alarm anyone, but aside from Podo, Goblin Backpacker, I can't name a single ~named~ character from that game. It didn't have a cartoon show…

Let's hope the game itself can stand up on mechanics and hold up a theme. I'm always happy to see a good new game.

Also, if anyone's looking for a cheap property with very limited exposure, you can theme a board game based on the heroic and magical characters here at my office. It's all priced to sell, ladies and gents.
