I thought the core rules were in the Yahoo group but I could not find them. Anyone know if they are on line somewhere? I would buy WI 278 but there are no shops here in Central Illinois where I can find them. VR James Mattes |

eleven years later, you'll need the wayback machine to get them, but they are still downloadable. Walt |

No need to go to the Wayback Machine to get the rules for Fleet of Battle. You can find them here at Scribd.com. link I don't think this is a copyright violation because they were offered online before, but if it is a violation, I'm fine if the moderators take this down. This link only provides the rules. As far as I know, the play sheets and ship counters that were once for sale are no longer available anywhere. If you know where they might still be available, please let us all know — I would love to be proven wrong on this! The good news is that it can all be easily recreated and the rules themselves contain some basic ship counters. If you want absolutely superb ship counters that can be had for a song, look to Tiny Tin Troops: tinytintroops.co.uk Fleet of Battle is a superb ancient galley wargame. I have Corvus, Poseidon's Warriors, Ad Mare Bellum and Naumachiae. These games are all good in their own way, with each having strengths that the others don't possess. Fleet of Battle deserves to be named in the same breath as these others — it's that good. |
