All I know is that when I spray it on, it finds its way into all the little places it should and does not seem to build up on the figure like other spray primers I have used. Shrink is a good thing.

Make sure you choose the "Sandable" primer not the "Sandable Primer and Filler". Fillers do not shrink and will obscure details.

The bottom line to all of this is to dig around and find a few test figures and try a couple of primers to see what you are comfortable with.

Thanks for your additional input, as well as for the link.

I picked up some Duplicolor, and tested out in my garage. The verdict: I like it. The primer is a thin coat, unlike Armory primer. Tooth isn't bad, could be better, though. The price is great. I think I'll be using it for a while.

My final attitude towards it may change (for better or worse) as I continue to prime models with it (I've only done two.)

All in all, thanks for the recommendation. Definitely liking it so far.
