Well, I've finally started my Imagi-nation blog. There isn't much up at the moment, but there are a few pictures and some fluff for those that're interested. link |

Mmmm
My own Imagi-Nation's clock is set on the War of Spanish Succession too. It is the Principality of Galatea (a what-if Catalonia, in fact). Is there any chance of diplomatic relationship between yours and mine? Wish to meet you soon inside "Emperor vs Elector" community!! Indeed! A good start. I am a month in and it is a great fraternity. I am greedy so I am running two periods from the same blog – WSS and WAS :-) beimbach-schoenau.blogspot.com |

..what rules are you using for battles? There are a lot of details about the 'country', do you have a campaign system worked out? I am intrigued! |

As far as I know, every blog in this community is intended for a different purpose, so that some are using it to build some background support to the "real" wargaming community behind, others have it as a pretext for developing solo campaigns, and so. There is likely one different motivation behind each one's blog. Occasional inter-actions among Imagi-Nations (often through diplomacy) also provide some exciting or funny scenarios, that can be used for your own campaigns, either tabletop, pulp, conventional skirmishing, RPG and so. Same way, depending on the aims of each one, I guess there are so many gaming systems behind as Imagi-Nations you find. In my humble case, I adapted a pre-existing SYW Bavaria campaign to a WSS Catalonia and produced by myself an hex grid map of the Principality. I'm gaming by e-mail the campaign as if a board wargame it was, and posting results on the blog -intermixed with narrative RPG scenes. Yesterday I had the chance to meet a boy who had the idea to produce a RPG game with my Imagi-Nation as background, and I gladly offered to him all my help in his endeavour
So that, as you can see, an Imagi-Nation is revealing to be a best source of fun -the kind you will. |

I founded the "Emperor vs Elector" group blog for 18th century Imagi-Nations. It is intended as a meeting place for various 18th century imaginary countries. A sort of "League of Nations", if you will. (By the way, there is no voting or rule setting, it is basically just a gathering place). It is not intended to replace the individual blogs (or websites) of its members. Indeed many of the subjects discussed on such blogs . . . such as game rules, figure scale, manufacturers, etc. are actively discouraged from "EvE" discussion. We don't care if you game in 6mm or 54mm or anything in between. We don't care if you use plastic figures or metal or clothespin soldiers or even paper minis. You can use whatever rules you want. None of these are our concern. It is a place to provide brief updates (and links) on events on your individual blogs. Also we have spawned a number of "proxy battles", where two or more Imagi-Nations have had other EvE members fight out battles for them. That way gamers who live in different parts of the world (and may have armies in different scales and use different basing and rules) can have "third parties" fight out battles between them. If you have an 18th century Imagi-Nation and wish to join EvE, please email me at . . . bluebearjeff@shaw.ca -- Jeff emperor-elector.blogspot.com

Interesting ideas. I hope Hassland will never go at war against Iceland, your troops would be confused by the flags in battle ;-) And I am curious to hear more about this "Corps du Vin" – with such a name there probably will be lots of French people who want to join this unit. |

A population of over 19 million seems huge for the Kingdom of Hassland. Other imagi-nations better beware! |
