Had a day out with the kids and friends today at Wallington, Northumberland and managed to take a few pics of the model soldier collection there. Not the best of photos (phone) but they give an idea of what's there. Full details are on my blog: link

Wow, proper toy soldiers.
They must have had some fun.

Always loved massed displays of toy soldiers, like that ! Don't see it much, at least on the west coast :( Closest place to me is the Old Toy soldier Home in Vista (San Diego)

I remember seeing them a few years ago – totally unexpected

Wallington itself makes for a nice walk round with the family

It's a good place for a day out with family. Even in Winter, as long as not raining too much, it's fun – as long as you're dressed for it!

I'd been there a few times before I even found out about the Model collection. I really feel there is a lot more they could do with it, but I suppose it's only one part of a big house.

Nice to see them though. Next time I go I'll take my good camera and try and get some better shots.

Cheers

I'm intrigued as to what sort of rules they may have used?….

Someone mentioned that of three brothers, one was always designated as 'Fate' and determined the number of casualties! Not sure if that applied to all games.
