Hey all,

I'm assuming that the Finns used a normal "whitewash" type finish (heh) on their AFVs during the winter months of the Continuation War?

Would the "hakaristi" be overpainted on top of the whitewash, carefully whitewashed around, or painted over altogether? Grateful for any help as references are limited.

Thanks,

w.

The T-26 at the Finnish tank museum is a nice example, though I do not know exactly what period of the war it is meant to depict.

The T-26 in Parola is painted up after an war reel filmed in the winter 41/42 IIRC.

Here is some info on the markings and camouflage that might be helpful. Robert
