Any one know of any websites where I can get free top-down images (with or without detail – doesn't matter) of GZG style spaceships?

In the Full Thrust rule books from GZG. They are a free download from their webpages. Mind you they are the old style ships.

There's only a couple, though. I'd like a full range of starships. Maybe Jon will see this and start a full range of GZG counters, 15mm flats to go with his Stargrunts range, etc… :o)

There is also the Firestorm Armada Terran and Dindrenzi (and possibly another faction) top downs, just reduce them in size according to your needs. I believe they are free on the FA website.

I have some Battlestar Galactica counters that are hi-res.

If any of you want them drop me an email at warrenss2(at)yahoo(dot)com

@micman Most of the images in the books are three quarter views.

I think some of the counters for GDW's Brilliant Lances and Battle Rider would proxy well:

In fact, there's a whole thread on BGG:
Spaceship games with counters I use for playing Full Thrust

From whence I followed the links and got right to images, instead of sifting and downloading files, assuming you can size-and-crop til your heart's content.

I do believe I've seen counters OF GZG ships, but I'm not finding any currently.

I've always felt the Full Thrust rules were a method of promoting the miniatures, so the idea of creating a full line of counters doesn't exactly fit the business model. ;->=

Jon's incredibly lassez faire, but he IS running a business.

@agrippa Dull grey, but that adds to the 'proxy' factor, and the quartered counters ARE appropriate to original FTII, though not 2.5; if only they had twelve points around the edge…

Ummmm… This might help add some generic units to the game…
