They always roll better when they're painted ;)

You dipped him, so he's shiny… and for the most part, that works. The chain mail, axe, armor plates, horns and hooves all have that healthy glow. The furry bits might do with a splotch of matte sealer to knock the gloss down a bit on the arms, legs, and face/snout.

That being said; A figure painted is one more on the table, and this one looks ready to get down to punishing your foes.

Good work!

Thank you, Pygmaelion!

About the dip…at first it looked strange to me to see the shiny figures. I had some Wood Elves painted and the shiny greens and browns didn't go well with the stealthy nature I think the WE have.

So I took them and sprayed them with matt varnish…and a the dreadfull white coat covered most of them, ruining the paint.

I now know this can sometimes happen due to humidity and temperature. You have to have really the perfect conditions to apply the spray from the can.

This won't happen if you apply the varnish with a brush but, to be honest, I'm used to see them "shiny" by now and don't mind. Sometimes I try to spray some more and the final result is, indeed, better but…it all comes down to your last sentence: "A figure painted is one more on the table". :)

Cheers and thank you again for your kind comment,
Alex
