Hi all,

I managed to buy a company's worth of German and British infantry from Dan Fraser and am very happy with them. He mentioned that they were a slight mix of Perrin and Minifig.

Now, I don't mind or anything as this is my first real minis purchase (and my son and I are in the middle of a test game using Peter Pig's PBI 2 rules that is going well) but there is a slight height difference between the two, most (only?) noticeable in the German side.

In this case, the regular infantrymen , leader and medium mortar crews are larger than the LMG and HMG crews. There is also one German infantry figure tossing a grenade that is shorter as well. These taller figures match the Brits perfectly (who all seem to be the taller scale).

So which is which? Are the Minifigs the big ones? Or are the Perrin?

And what brand of vehicles should I buy to augment these infantry forces? And where do I buy the bigger figures online in North America?

Thanks for helping a newbie out!

P.S. Can I mix in Pitheads with these? And if so, are they big or the smaller size comparatively?

Perrin tend to be at the small side of 10mm.

Height wise you can mix Pithead with Minifigs – but the Pithead figures are definitely chunkier.

These stands of my paras are a mix of Pithead, Pendraken and Minifigs picture

Lots more here link

Vehicle wise Pithead are very nice and will go fine with Minifigs infantry.

I have both in my 10mm world war II. Perrin average about a half a head shorter than minifigs.

I have them both as well, and although the Minifigs are just the tiniest bit bigger, Perrin are just the tiniest bit bulkier, so that you can easily mix them (and I don't usually like mixing ranges).

I am wanting to trade some GFI minifigs for some Pendraken miniatures, already painted and based therefore willing to generously compromise. Available are German regulars and African campaign, British regulars, American regulars, airborne and marines, Russian regulars and cavalry, Japanese and French armies. Support weapons and artillery are also available plus panzer II, III, IV, panthers and tigers, type 95, sherman, pershing, T34, renault F17 and Somua S35. can email pics if interested
