I'm trying to gauge interest in a range of 15mm Ultra-Modern Chinese to possibly be produced by Eurekas "300" program.

If there was enough interest out there, I would submit it for pre-production orders. A total of 600 pre-orders must be obtained by 10 independent buyers before a range goes into production.

The range could include the following:

4-8 riflemen (w/ QBZ-95)
2 with QBZ-95 SAW
2 w/ RPG/ anti-tank missiles,
2-man heavy machinegun team,
3 man mortar team
2 officers.

The more figures ordered, the more poses you can request.
Take a look below at Eurekas Indo-China line to get an idea for the look and feel of what the PLA range might be like and let me know if you could be interested in them

With the 15mm market on the rise, I suspect that any decent 15mm ultra modern or science fiction line would be appreciated :)

I would be VERY willing snap up a bunch if they became available.

I believe there's at least one 15mm company working on PLA at the moment.

I'd definitely be interested in PLA figures in 15mm.

Actually I thought he meant the Palestinean liberation army which got obliterated in the late 70's =(

Waiting for weapons back form Chas

Sounds interesting. At least Eureka is local to me. Good idea to do a bit of market research here first. Depending on poses and weapons, I might be down for fifty or sixty…..

"I believe there's at least one 15mm company working on PLA at the moment."

Im guessing Rebel minis?

I hope anyway! I wouldnt mind having two sources though. If there are at least 10 interested TMPers then I will submit it. Otherwise its a waist of Eurekas time.

Thanks for the replies so far.

PS. I cross-posted to SF because I believe any 15mm figures w/ a bullpup gun can work for near-future figures.

CPBelt28 Aug 2010 7:37 p.m. PST

Rebel Minis is coming out with PLA IIRC.

I think a lot of people are waiting for someone to come out with PLA troops.

"I wouldn't mind having two sources though"

Well, you've identified about 1/3 of my build list ;-)

Three sources would be even better for my PLA Company!

Those would be a nice addition. I can see using them as troops from different nations supplied by China. Always need more opponents for the near future wars of tommorrow.

This range, of course, would not include vehicles of which there are several fascinating home grown varieties currently being produced by China. This is where QRF can make a killing:

Uesugi Kenshin,

By your leave, I've put in a request with Eureka for some 15mm PLA, via their 300 Club. I simply copied the suggestions from your initial post, I gave them a few example urls.

Depending on the level of interest, and descriptions of the variety in poses, I'm easily up for fifty or sixty stock infantry types.

The 300 Club is also demonstrating speculative interest in "NATO Eastern Europeans", Chechens, and (wonder of wonders) Modern Australians.

Hope I've not stolen your thunder, I just thought I'd kick start this idea.

We'll see how it travels now.

Ordered my PLA company so they are already well over 100! Nice to see the Aussies have gone up in the last week too!

I just noticed they have 1990's Spetznaz as well so I picked up a "few" of those as well. Too many good things!

Hmm, I'll have to get the popcorn. Looks like this might be a long wait.

Im actually pretty impressed with the sales for the Russians, Chechens and Nato. I'm sure the Chinese will catch on shortly.

Uesugi Kenshin Supporting Member of TMP12 Sep 2010 7:29 p.m. PST

Keep in mind, these just went up two weeks ago and they are already this far along:

Eastern Nato: 50%
Chechens: 50%
Russians: 66%
Chinese: 33%

Thats not too bad for under a month. That also puts them past many of the Eureka suggestions that have been on their for years.
