I figure we know for the most part what the 15mm SF makers have coming out for the rest of this year. So what are you looking forward to or hoping for in 2011?

For me? I cant get enough near-future stuff. Hopefully someone will pick up where Force XXI and DLD minis left off and make some decent SF/NF neo-soviet stuff.

Battle Works Studios20 Aug 2010 6:44 a.m. PST

I'm hoping for my own self to find time to expand our 15mm scifi terrain range. Really gotten behind schedule on that.

After that, in rough order of want/need:

1) Blue Moon's Galactic War rules, and a further expansion to their figure range.

2) Ground Zero Games to stop being so ominously quiet about new releases. I know he just moved shop, but the dry spell's starting to scare me. If he releases a tidal wave of figures to compensate I'll have to sell a kidney or something.

3) Khurasan must release the cat in a straw boater mini that features so prominently on their site. More of the cinema disparagement crew would be good too – and perhaps in 28mm as well.

Galactic war one is ready to go to layout --we are waiting for the last bit of art work. Running several months behind, sorry.we just want to make sure its good. There will be many more factions along with supplemental books for them. Mayby 10 at a times so we can keep inventing more strange and interesting beings. Also there will be a monster book comprised of just monsters.

Finishing my dropship, getting it moulded, and finding out it costs way more to produce than anyone will ever pay…

Only Warlock20 Aug 2010 8:09 a.m. PST

Actually I have high hopes for a lot of things!

Micropanzer's 15mm Assault droids are coming out, Khurasan, Rebelminis, and Critical Mass are all churning out stuff with ridiculously high quality.

ACTUALLY what I am REALLY waiting on is TopGunMarketing's Ovoid Infantry Fighting Gravs. (Yes, I'm looking at you TopGun!)

I am using them for my Khurasan Felids (Larry Niven's Kzin ships were driven by Gravity Polarizers, so I wanted unique looking grav Tanks for my Felids)

Scorpio20 Aug 2010 9:57 a.m. PST

I'm hoping more 15mm producers start making figs that I can also use for my 28mm games. Since I don't do 15mm.

Come to the dark side, Scorpio! It's cooler over here and chicks dig us!

* More Khurasan Predators.

* More Post Apocalyptic troops and scavengers. Some on horseback.

* And someone to make non-humanoid aliens with non-human-type weapons, please.

Get those creative juices going.

Dan

My group and I are most looking forward to actually playing with my 15mm Sci-Fi figs, after Ambush releases the rules that is.

Farstar20 Aug 2010 10:32 a.m. PST

A budget that allows more purchases…

malleman20 Aug 2010 10:52 a.m. PST

more female figures

evilcartoonist20 Aug 2010 11:12 a.m. PST

Khurasan post-apocalyptic troops and mutants. These will actually be my first 15mm figures. (I'm getting them for Gamma World.)

MiniatureWargaming dot com20 Aug 2010 11:23 a.m. PST

Star Mogul figures. I want to play without the 28mm investment.

Cacique Caribe20 Aug 2010 2:41 p.m. PST

I want more un-freakin'-believable figures like these:

The problem with those, Dan, is that I'll have to use my 28mm style on them but way smaller. I like 15mm because I don't have to wet blend everything! :-) They are nice though.

15mm space dwarves from Rebel.

Need some good space orks again that do not violate GW's IP this time. The 15mmUK are ok but not enough. Plus ork vehicles. Need more rugged vehicles and truks!

Uesugi Kenshin Supporting Member of TMP21 Aug 2010 7:35 p.m. PST

The return of Combat Wombat to the 15mm sf realm is welcomed. I'm def looking forward to any new stuff he churns out.

Obviously Rebel and Khurasan are likely to keep more great stuff coming out.

Scorpio21 Aug 2010 7:41 p.m. PST

Come to the dark side, Scorpio! It's cooler over here and chicks dig us!

Naah, I don't need a new scale. 28mm/Heroic, now and forever. But I like browsing the 15mms for things I can re-appropriate.

15MM Females?
Uhh…YES!
Simon Bisley, Frank Frazetta, Richard Corben Style.
That IS what I am doing.

I want to finish painting my Space Orcs, and my Praetorian guard, so I can have a battle of rorc's drift. I have about 200 Orcs, and 100 Praetorians to paint.

Should be fun!!!

So how about it what are looking forward to?

Or back at?

McWong7303 Jan 2012 4:55 a.m. PST

Looking back, I honestly didn't see the Khurusan avalanche of 2011. If the various peeks he's dropped on us all come to fruition in 2012 I'll be a very happy chap.

Dragon Gunner03 Jan 2012 6:51 a.m. PST

Well for 2012…

1. CEV attachments for vehicles or a dedicated CEV vehicle.

2. Flamethrower tank

3. 15mm GZG MAWP with flamethrower

4. Zerglings

5. Special undead (Left 4 Dead style…)

6. Rucksacks, radios, RPG racks etc.. to add to existing miniatures.

7. Ogre or Bolo

8. Missile tank equipped with multiple racks of ATGMs.

9. Scifi ZSU-23-4

10. Orbital defense tower

11. Khurasan Exterminators expanded

12. Combat Wombat fuel pod to convert truck into fuel carrier.

13 Combat Wombat six wheeled armored car he is working on.

14 Combat Wombat Heavy Lander

15 Combat Wombat generic tracked hulls to put any of his turrets on.

16. Generic ERA in differnet shapes and sizes to add to vehicles.

GZG and Critical Mass games to get an American distributor.

I eagerly await Khurasan releases.

Thornhammer03 Jan 2012 10:08 a.m. PST

More…everything.

But for right now, what I'm looking forward to most is Micropanzer and GZG reopening their stores.

Khurasan Thrainites

Umpapa03 Jan 2012 2:51 p.m. PST

Khurasan Felids AT and Civilians.
GZG Heavy Infatry UNSC (in armoured exoskeletons, at least 5 poses).
More of Oddzial Osmy NVL.

Aliens low-tech irregular infantry/rebels/criminals (best if from existing source like irregular Khurasan Felids, Khurasan Garn or CMG Naga).

Farstar03 Jan 2012 4:49 p.m. PST

You guys did check the year in the topic title, right?

infojunky03 Jan 2012 8:47 p.m. PST

Well I did mention that when I did my little bit of Thread Necromancy…

Was looking for a bit of comparison….

Rottenlead05 Jan 2012 7:04 a.m. PST

@infojunky: You are the king of old post resurrection. I had to blow the dust off my screen to read it :). Nice to look back and see what really happened though.

Well for me I got Gruntz out in PDF last July which was an epic challenge and almost broke my body and mind in the process. This year is all about getting the Print copy out for 1.1 and also a lot of work on miniatures and terrain for Salute 2012. Beyond that I hope to get a stack of CMG models complete and continue the Gruntz Video blog on Youtube with some new painting guides for 15mm minis.

No Robin I will happily cede that title to Cacique Caribe….
