I saw the photo in Wargames Illustrated (Very well-maintained, graffiti-free Roman strett I felt…) & there's a mention on the Studio's website. Where could we find more information about this project, which sounds really interesting?

It is great to hear that there's interest in this project. The game's author, Matthias Weeks, has been slightly side-tracked with a new daughter. However, I can definitely say that we're both committed to starting up again this month.

The rules themselves are nearly complete, but we'd like to do some additional playtesting. I'm working on filling in some of the historical background (reading Tom Holland's Rubicon: The Last Years of the Roman republic).

I couldn't give you any real release date, but I suspect that starting next month, we will begin having updates on our website (I'll also post them here).

Lastly, Matt barely got those streets finished in time for Adepticon (the convention we ran demos at). I also felt like the buildings were missing some giant phallus graffiti. Next year!

I'll playtest!!! Purrrrleaze let me playtest!!!

I'm interested in streetfighting between Jewish factions from CE66 & would imagine this concept would work well for it.

Dave- did you see my articles on the 1st Jewish Revolt in WS&S magazine? If not I'll email the text. In case you want to add scenarios for this in the rules or a later supplement

I am also interested in this, and hope to get to try it…I have quite a few Roman buildings that are crying out for a streetfight!

Cheers, Simon

"The game's author, Matthias Weeks, has been slightly side-tracked with a new daughter."

I guess he's Matthias Wakes now then!

OK, I now have about 18 armed civilians/slaves and the same number of unarmed civilians painted (by a friend in trade). Now I'm just itching for the rule set, are we any closer? Matthias (sometimes wakes) Weeks, where are we at? ;-)>

I would like to know how many buildings I need and howe big the table is. From the pics on Facebook, it looks to be 48" x 48" .

I e-mailed Hank twice no answer? Mike Adams

So, still no response? I had read somewhere that Gorgon would be attending a US con in the last few weeks, did anyone see any demo games? Perhaps they are still ironing bugs out of the rules. Reluctant to base the figures until I know what basing is required.

So with Adepticon 2011 looming, are we to see/hear of another demo game of Vox Populi? Has there been progress on the rules and background?

CooperSteveOnTheLaptop13 Mar 2011 10:19 a.m. PST

we'll live in hope if we die of despair.

Still on our drawing board gentlemen with plans to take up again here after AdeptiCon 2011 is in the books. We got a solid start of Vox Populi and lots of Gorgon stuff in the pipe which will be on display at Little Wars.
