Here it goes . . .

1) What movie is it?
2) Why would you want to game it at all?
3) And why in 15mm?
4) Are there terrain/scenics you think would be ideal for it?

Thanks.

momoiro kakaricho17 Aug 2010 12:11 p.m. PST

1) Phantasm
2) Sentinel spheres and the Tall Man
3) Actually, only the zombie dwarfs would be 15mm – everything else would be 1/72
4) Red decorative sand and papercraft town buildings

Or are you referring to kaiju type monsters when you speak of "monsters"?

Cacique Caribe17 Aug 2010 12:39 p.m. PST

Momoiro,

I mean all types of cool movie monsters, real or imagined, big or bigger. :)

I think that the movie "The Mist" has scenario potential, particularly in the creatures vs army action that was not shown in the film:

Momoiro, it *would* be cool to add the Sentinel spheres from Phantasm to a standard zombie game.

1) no movie, but my own concept of 'pulp' Dark Ages
2)prehistoric beasts and hominids as the reality behind legendary monsters
3)space and financial concerns
40 just general terrain

Cacique Caribe17 Aug 2010 2:33 p.m. PST

Hmm. I guess I should have cross-posted this to Pulp also. :(

1. Jurassic Park
2. Great chase and hide sort of action
3. Better for vehicles and fast movement…big dinos!
4. Yes…bits of huge electric fence, huge gates/arcs, etc.

1. Land That Time Forgot
2. Cavemen, dinosaurs, Nazis, submarines, plesiosaurs, etc.
3. See line #2…need room to move around
4. Yes…waterline submarine, beach, volcano, angry cliffs, etc.

And once more kyoteblue has lowered the bar with a pointless post.

The best ones have already been posted or you can currently game in miniature like Aliens and Starship Troopers.

1) Journey to the Center of the Earth (1958)
2) An epic journey, critters and Pat Boone!
3) I wouldn't, I'd use 25mm figs
4) Aquarium props and lots of rocky ground

1) Them

2) Army vs giant bugs, always fun

3) And why in 15mm?, Most of the fights from the movie take place in expansive tunnels or on a tramp freighter. Big setup would allow an extensive nest or tunnel set up.

4) Dwarven Forge's caverns for frpg would worrk for a nest crawl.

Second on THEM!

Battle Works Studios17 Aug 2010 7:25 p.m. PST

4) I'll make my own
