Awesome! Those are great minis and you did an excellent job with the paint!

I'll admit to some surprise that we haven't seen a "not Rhod" in 15mm. Or even in 28mm…

Redroom13 Aug 2010 4:30 p.m. PST

Really like your color choices, nice work

Ivan DBA13 Aug 2010 4:44 p.m. PST

Thanks for the pics. I've been wanting to see some additional painted pics of these figs. Very clever what GZG games has done, put the head of a mangalore on the body/clothes of a space Ork, and some armor/equpment/weapons from each. Normaly this would be a terrible mess, but it really works on these figures which could easily be either, or, or something else.

I like your colour scheme! I went for a totally different aproach on mine as you can see here:

Why not make them TOTALLY alien? haha

very, very nice captain general. If I had seen yours first I definiely would have copied you. I still may(76 more to paint) is that aa zuzzy mat?

Some nice merc-work there, chaps! My contribution: link

I bought a pack on a whim, just to see what I could do with them. The catalogue pic on the GZG website doesn't really do them justice, does it?

Blue! Now THAT rocks.

For anyone interested, here are some bare metal close-ups:

Read your blog post – I have had nothing but mould lines and mis-cast figures from GZG. I don't hold it against Jon because I know he's a busy man. I'm glad you got some good ones. Nice paint jobs! So glad you didn't paint them green.

They look very monstrous, and the color is good.

Those models turn into Trollbloods (Warmachine) when painted blue, Orks (40k) when green, and Mangalores (Fifth Element) when done in fleshtones.
