Starting to paint my clasical Mayan warriors and thinking about the colors for the headresses and war paint.

Has anyone seen evidence of use of the Mayan blue color for warpaint other than the Mexican dancers in tourist shows? I've seen red, yellow and black in the murals.

For featehrs I've seen the usual green with red, yellow, white, brown, black, and blues.

Since it had important religious and ritual significance, it may not have been commonly used that way:

Thanks Allen, that is my thought as well--never seen it used as warpaint on Mayan art. Since it would look very good on my figures, however, I was hoping someone else had seen it used that way.
