That is one seriously impressive droid army!

It's pretty impressive. I need to take some pics of my Droid, Clone and Gungan armies. The two MMT's alone make it pretty cool. Gotta love Star Wars!

Thanks,

John

I also must say that's a very good Droid Army.

John I think that i can do one better when it comes to a Droid Army.

Let me first say that i had to get many Droids and Gungans when i first thought of putting on The Battle of Grassy Plains, which i've run 5 times at local conventions.

It took me awhile but i managed to aquire a lot of Droids where i can say that i have a pretty decent Droid Army.

This is what i have more or less-

Tan Battle Droids 500 plus
Red and other Battle Droids 60 plus
Rocket Battle Droids 30 plus
Sniper Battle Droids 40 plus
Destroyer Droids 14 plus
Battle Droid on STAPs 12 plus
Super Battle Droids 112 plus
AAT's 3
Halfire Droids 3

There's a few other things but this is the bulk of my Droid Army.

Now my Gungan Army well that's another matter as i have the following-

Gungan Soldier,Artillerist,Shieldbearer,Infantry 500 plus
Gungan Cavalry on Kaadu 24 plus
Catapult 2
Faamba 1

I think that i might've the largest Gungan Army so John how big is your Gungan Army?

Now i took many pictures of my Grassy Plains game and if you would like to see most of my Droids and Gungans, you can go to Photobucket and find Gideon_3 and you'll see some nice pics.

Good lord Cap. I bow down to your strength in the Force! ;-D
I believe I have seen pics of one of your games IIRC. It was massive!

I have around 100-200 troops of each. I use WOTC and Action Fleet or Titanium when I can. I have more strength in depth and variety of vehicles.

Droids

9-12 Snail tanks
3 AAT's
2 MMT's
6 Hailfire
24 STAP's
@6 Crab droids
9 Homing Spiders
2-3 Spider droids
18 Vulture droids

I think that's most of the Droid army.

Gungans
2 Fambaas
24 Kaadu
6 Catapults

Clones
3-4 LAAT
3-4 AT-TE
2 Turbotanks
6 AT-RTs
2 Arc 170s
6-9 Swamp Speeders
I think that's most of my Clones

Thanks,

John

Good God almighty, those are impressive armies

Now I can only hope the Little Prince doesn't hear about them!

Stealth100030 Jul 2010 7:47 a.m. PST

I only have 3 hailfire droids
70 super battle droids
20 battle droids
3 AAT's (transformers)
Not a patch on your armies.

Ah, but how many of them did you paint? ;-)

Impressive collections nonetheless.

Yes John you're correct about your strength in depth and vehicles, although i do have some of the Droid vehicles like the Homing Spiders,Spider Droids and some Crab Droids.

What i lack is the vehicles but i figure that i'm okay with what i have, add to the fact that i'm still getting Droids and Gungans so my numbers increase from time to time.

And to let you know my next game i'll be running with be the Geonosis Arena Battle, where you have a number of Jedi against a large number of Battle Droids.

I'll be running that in 2 months at a local convention called ConquestSF.

I am using the Transformer ones. They aren't actually to scale. But they'll work.

Thanks,

John

What rule system did you use? I am working on a Star Wars set myself and was curious

Thanks

I'm using a set I found at the Small Scale Star War's yahoo group called Small Wars.

He also has a website:

The rules cover the Clone Wars and a different set covers the Rebellion.

Thanks,

John

There's no such thing as a decent droid army.
