To follow up the thread on building materials and a recent TMP'ers profession of love for Elmers glue, I thought I would ask what everyone's favorite glue is for making buildings and terrain for minis wargaming? Myself I use PVA/Elmers and generic Super Glue. |

Typically, Elmer's Carpenter's wood glue – the yellow colored one, as the brown always seems to separate and no amount of shaking, stirring or praying to the great glue entity seems to salvage same. |

Gluing resin walls: epoxy. Gluing pink foam to anything including pink foam: liquid nails for projects. Wood to wood: elmer's wood glue or Weldbond Gluing paper: UHU Office Pen liquid gel. (very low moisture) Just to name a few. I have a glue collection! |

A second on Gorilla Glue Cyanoacrylate for all things plastic/metal/resin. White glue for most other things

Hard as nails, particularly the cheaper versions, particularly for basing. |

Hot melt glue gun, no fuss no waiting, not much mess. Robert |

Since, for some odd reason, I seem to be building a lot of card stock: Elmer's white. Stay away from the house brands. This is not a place to pinch pennies 'till they squeal. |

Another vote for hot melt glue. I now use this for pink foam and foamcore board, my usual building material, but it works on just about everything except paper. It is super fast, easy and very inexpensive. No more bracing and pinning or waiting for glue to dry. |

For flocking on bases and pink/blue extruded styrofoam hills, I always use and swear by Scenic Effects Scenic Cement. TMPers tell me it's just watered down PVA, but I'e nver had the success with watering down PVA as I do with Scenic Cement. Medium temperature glue sticks from a glue gun to attach the above described styrofoam. Scenic Effects Hobbe-tac, a thick white glue for heavy clumps of flock like the SE coarse ground cover. For gluing plastic and resin figures to bases, I do use globs of undiluted PVA. -- Tim |
