Due to the fact that some people seem to have trouble getting in tough with me via e-mail, I decided to post VWQ as a PDF on Google Docs
link Hope this helps everyone out. For those unfamiliar with the rules, they are card driven, fast play rules for the ECW. They are designed specifically for games involving 6-12 units per side so you may find the need to modify the order/card system for games larger than that. Be warned they are unfinished and you may have to add some mechanics or make up rules to cover some troop type (i.e. Highlanders) I have left out. I have been eye-ball deep in Napoleonics for the last two years and have not revisited the period, or the rules, for some time but people seem to like them. At some point in the future (maybe 2011-12), they will join the REPUBLIC TO EMPIRE and BENEATH THE LILY BANNERS books as fully developed, glossy porn that some people seem to hate, but you can grab them now as a toolkit (with just a little bit of low-res porn) until I actually get around to writing a real manuscript

Thank you for that. I have looked through the rules, very nicely presented and I like the pics. Waiting to play my first game with them. |

And a fun set of rules it is, too. I've run a couple of 54mm games with it and had a blast. Thank you, Clarence! --jeff |

Love them as well!! This is the set we use at the club!! Clarence, bring on the porn and the mods!!! For something fun, these rules have cards that you can number from 1-66 that give some strange things happening. IE One of your units leaves the field, reckless commander, etc. For fun, I have my players roll percentiles. Then if they roll between 1-66, decide if the card is for them, or their opponent. Makes for a very exciting game!! Kevin |

As someone who has had difficulty getting in touch with you via email, thanks Calrence. The reviews I have read of your rules have helped keep me inspired on ECW. I am glad I will get a chance to play them. Cheers Phil |

Thanks Clarence, we have also started to use these rules at our club, and have found them great fun to play. We are compiling a few suggestions for you and will send them along at some point. Cheers, Martin |

There is now a section for VWQ on the Fighting Talk forum to make it easier to ask questions, post your house rules, etc
