Has anyone tried the game Try-to-Survive-asaurus? I'd be interested to know what you think of it. I picked up a painted set recently and am looking forward to giving it a whirl. Would it appeal to hardened gamers? Or would it be a good intro for possible converts? Seems to have a boardgame like feel to it. I see that the models are still available on the QRF website, but I can't see the rules anymore. |

Temporarily out of print
What can I say. Initially you start running round rooting out food to avoid starving to death (while avoiding being eaten), then the food runs out and you run around trying to eat your other gamers (or avoid being eaten by them) and become the last dinosaur standing when the rains come back :-) |

There's a boardgame called Dinosaur, if I recall correctly, that has human players running around on an island, trying to avoid various types of dinos. It was put out by a major game manufacturer, so might be worth a try looking for, if you want to run a game with minis. I'd say the rules are adaptable, pretty much unmodified for that. |

Would it appeal to hardened gamers? Yes Or would it be a good intro for possible converts? Yes, including children as young as 8 Its a brief ruleset so might be worth LKM Direct selling as a PDF rather than re-printing? The board-game like feel comes from the Triassic setting where the critters need to congregate round a river or lake, which contains the action over games set in lusher dinosaur times where they could roam off anywhere. The aim was to re-create the first episode of WALKING WITH DINOSAURS, Geoff's system pulled that off very well indeed. |

I've long been pondering adapting them for use with other eco-systems (We pondered a sea reptile game at the time) but i haven't hit on anything as suitable in the WALKING WITH
stable. |
