Are there really plans to start a new Rebel Minis line of 15mm SF/VSF/Pulp?

Please, please, please, let it be true!!!

Hopefully, two birds (pteradons) with one stone. It would be nice to have cowboys, mexicans, and dinosaurs. Then we can play "The Valley of the Gwangi" imdb.com/title/tt0065163

Yep they are. It's tied to the Adventures in the Lost Lands rules set from us.

Mike and I were at Bayou Wars and discussing what the line would consist of and how to present them in boxed sets.

Oh, oh. Dan, don't drool on your keyboard…you'll ruin it. LOL. I'm anxiously awaiting these figs, too.

Cacique Caribe13 Jun 2010 6:31 p.m. PST

OMG. I had to get a paper towel to wipe the keyboard.

Can't wait to see what else is part of it.

Thanks.

Ed and Mike were next to each other at bayou Wars. You could see the wheels spinning and future plans taking shape.

Aaha!

In that case, they need to sit next to each other at EVERY convention!!!

really great news. I am a true sucker for archeaologists/explorers vs prehistorics scenarios. I'm hoping for some neaderthals, etc.

Ed: "But more is definitely on the way!"

That IS great news!

I also hope it includes some prehistoric humans and a variety of explorers/adventurers suitable for Darkest Africa and Egyptian tomb exploration scenarios.

Thanks.

It is clear that 15mm has a lot of catching up to do in that area:

An tight association between Two Hour Wargames and Rebel Miniatures is the best news for that we can hear.

Now, my wish list (can you see a theme here?):

Nazi female soldiers (She Wolves) with sub-machine guns
circa 1930's explorer/tomb raider types
Pulp type robots
1930's aviators
1930's extras: polynesian natives, film crew, sailors, etc.
Evil geniuses: Nazi mad/evil scientist, comamndant, spys, femme fatal, etc.

There are tons of 15mm miniatures available from other manufactures for Zulus and other African tribesmen, WWII brits, Germans, and other nationalities. Rebel already has Nazi zeds, What is needed are the miniatures needed to turn them into great pulp sci-fi.

Question:

Would cars from the 1920s be way too out of place with those figures?

Thanks,

I beg to differ… I think that there is plenty of miniatures in 15mm that would fit the bill. Between Rebel Minis and Peter-Pig you have a bounty of great VSF/Sci-Fi/Pulp to chose from…You have Brits in the pith helmet in the Soodan range, Egyptians, American cowboys, FFL…With a little imagination and searching you can find alot of great figures to fight Kong or fight the evil forces that lurk in the heartsand mind of men…

Anyone doing an armed merchant vessel crew in 15mm?

Early morning writer03 Feb 2011 4:23 p.m. PST

Now that would be cool, J Womack – I'll sign up for a cruise of those figures across my gaming table.

And, finally, someone else sounding off about Polynesian natives. These are an absolute requirement for a complete gaming table. (insert slap stick, tongue lolling emoticon here)

Watchtower7805 Feb 2011 10:39 a.m. PST

Polynesian women that's what I'm talking about!

Cacique Caribe05 Feb 2011 1:32 p.m. PST

I bet someone will come along and propose the Getinmabelli as suitable replacements for them:

CC, if someone does, I'll be happy to feed them right back to what they recommend! Those are about as close to Polynesian women as a cow is to a super model. Not! Not that they aren't cool figures, howsoever. Just not Polynesian women. The sailors have to be seduced – not scared out of their trousers.

Cacique Caribe08 Feb 2011 11:40 p.m. PST

Agreed.
