Does anyone know where I can pick up a copy of these rules? I've heard very positive things regarding them, but haven't been able to find a copy and I've been looking for months. I hope these are worth all that effort. |

According to the Wessex Games web site they are OOP. link |

And the recent piracy on Scribd certainly can't help getting them reprinted I suspect. Gracias, Glenn |

Which is unfortunate – I've played them and they're really pretty good. Simple and they play well, with a good cinematic feel. |

I found a copy in used book store a couple of years ago. |

If you email them and ask very, very nicely they might send you an electronic copy. |

But you might have to sign in blood to say that you won't put it up on Scribd!!! |

Given how hard The Wessex Games gentleman (Steve Blease IIRC) seemed to take the act of copyright infringement I really can't blame him if he decided to not to publish a set of rules again. Hopefully it won't sour him on the situation. Gracias, Glenn |

So, I take it these ended up being available for free on Scribd and that's why they're not available in PDF? |

"So, I take it these ended up being available for free on Scribd and that's why they're not available in PDF?" No not "Voyages Extraodinaires" (at least as far as I know) but several other Wessex Games publications. |

No but Wessex Games (Steve Blease? I hate these senior moments) seems to be more surprised than I expected someone to be. Fallen World and all that
I do hope that he "corrects" this abuse but it will happen again because of human nature. Creative people need to expect this kind of behavior and not let them discourage them from being creative. We need creative people to keep us "sane" by their work. An he needs to accept that not all TMP'ers and LAF'ers are sin-free. He stated he was surprised by some attitudes expressed in response to his piracy postings. Gracias, Glenn |

As a person who has looked for this ruleset for years, I must admit I'm disappointed in the company if the piracy case is being used to justify not releasing Voyages as a PDF. I thought they did an excellent job with Tusk, and I was waiting for TUSK II. I don't like piracy. I wish people wouldn't do it. But not publishing a PDF because of it doesn't make the problem go away -- there are scanners, after all -- and it punishes those of us who play by the rules. Look at the boondoggle with Wizards of the Coast for how these sorts of actions can backfire on publishers. |

I didn't say that was the case for Voyages, just that Wessex Games seemed pretty shocked that TMP'ers and others seemed so blase' about piracy. The incident is not being used for not publishing but it certainly seems to be a matter of high concern for future rules development in general. I think it's just a price of doing business (as is pursuing the people who did the act.) Some people may find the price uncomfortable. And I am just saying what I perceived of Wessex Games reaction to the whole mess. Wessex has not said they will stop just (and I am paraphrasing from memory) that they were very disappointed by the response they received about the posting about the piracy. Gracias, Glenn |
