So Ive come to the conclusion that the Welsh of this late period would have looked and fought little different than their English counterparts.

As for weapons, Im trying to decide if they would still use the spear by this time or would they completely have swapped them for bills?

Painting up some Welsh spearmen does grant me a break from all billmen but would they be historically correct for this period? If yes, would they still likely use shields?

When considering Bordereres for the same period, I finally decided to go with a mix of bow, spear, and bill.

Period documents suggest that the spear was not so uncommon among the English as well. Indeed in the Bridport roll spears, pollaxes and glaives are all used in greater numbers than the bill.

With regards to the use of shields the Bridport roll shows 27 bucklers and 23 pavises among the equipment.
