They plan to release a boxed set of space combat rules but from what they have said, it will not contain miniatures but will have cardboard counters. No plans for ship miniatures yet, but they are keeping that option open, plus they have hired Bruce Graw (formerly of AoG) to help them with miniatures for other games so it is possible. People have asked point blank if they will do miniatures for B5 on Mongoose's message board, so far no official answer. |

Yeah, I have heard of no plans for minis for Mongoose's B5 starship game. However, Mongoose does seem to have plans to get into the mini market with their Starship Troopers and Judge Dredd lines, so I wouldn't be suprised if they do the same with B5. It's a shame they didn't buy the molds from AoG when they won the license. |

Hi guys, Just to quickly add something here. It is true the space combat game will be a box set and feature counters - however those counters will just happen to be in the same scale as your B5 Wars ships, so your fleets will still be useable. However, we are casting one new ship for the range (again, in B5 Wars scale). Not saying too much right now, but it is a ship that was never done for B5 Wars and one fans have been asking for. Stay tuned to the forthcoming news pages on our site. . . Matthew Sprange |

As a potential customer I would rather see the ships in the smaller fleet action scale. The full sized B-5 war ships were too expensive and too clumsy to use on all but the largest gaming tables. I am also waitng to see what you do with the Starship Troopers stuff though. |

I agree. The Fleet Action scale eventually became the "standard" that many people were using, so much so that AOG stopped producing the full sized minis. The full sized minis were too expensive and far too large for gaming. They did look nice, but when they take up 10-15 hexes of space for a ship that is supposed to occupy 1 hex, that got ridiculous when ships were close together. Rev |

I too agree that the line should be the Fleet Action Scale. the ships were easy to transport and game with and I say Bring On The Excalibur, for common sense tells us it will be the Earth Force Victory Class destroyer so Please down scale to Fleet Action Scale Mongoose! |
