I cannot find any place that has 1/72 or close scale plastic Star Wars episode 1 miniatures. I know there are the CMG minis but I thought surely there was some kind of playset of cheap plastics somewhere. I am looking for Droids, Gungans, and Palace guard (at least looking) to complete an incomplete board game. Any ideas are direction are greatly appreciated. |

Micro Machine Star Wars sets included approximately 20mm (1/72) scale figures. Can be found on auction websites. Might be cheaper to use the Wizards of the Coast miniatures as they can be bought individually? Hope that helps, Oliver |

Are you looking for the figs from the Queen's Gambit game? If you can find them they tend to not be too badly priced. If you are asking about Micro Machine scale figs you can rarely find Battledroids. You can get Clones from Hasbro.com as replacement pieces for Star Wars Risk. |

I really thought the Queen's Gambit figures were closer to 28mm, if that is what is being discussed. In that case, the WOTC figures are the ones you want. The Micromachines figures would be far too small. |

The Queen's Gambit and the Epic Duels Battle Droid figures were the same and about 28mm. I've got them from the Epic Duels game and they fit in well with the collectable Star Wars Miniatures line. The Epic Duels game, which came out just before the Star Wars Miniatures CMG, had characters from the original trilogy as well as from Ep 1 and 2. Stores could not get these off their shelves and I picked up a few dirt cheap. The figures were unpainted but made of a harder plastic. I painted up a few and used them for special characters in the CMG, rather than paying collector prices for those characters. However if you're looking for 20mm figures, you're going to have to look for the Galoob/Kenner Micro Machines playsets. However the Action Fleet line, with the figures jointed at the waist to sit down, they had were closer to 25mm. Now you might still be able to get these, but the Risk Clone Wars Edition (which came out some time after Episode III) had tons of 20mm Super Battle Droids and Clone Troopers (all in hard plastic too!). At one time the store's couldn't give those things away, so I'll bet you can find some on eBay still. Also you might want to check the Hasbro site for replacement game pieces. They might still offer parts to these games. |

Hasbro parts only offers the Clones like I mentioned above. You can also get a Gammorean Guard and mini Rancor pack but it has very limited use. The Star Wars Risk sets tend to sell for a pretty fair price. 20+ bucks is not out of bounds. Thanks, John |
